How Should the Populists Govern?
The American Thinker ^ | July 9, 2024 | Christopher Chantrill

Posted on 07/09/2024 3:12:46 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Let’s jump the gun on far-white populist nationalism and ask the big question. How should the rising populists, from Hungary to the U.S. to Britain to France, govern?

The question becomes urgent now that our Democratic friends are sounding the klaxon over the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025. Spencer Chretien announced Project 2025 in January 2023, over a year ago. It’s a libertarian-conservative wishlist that, I assume, Heritage has been doing every four years since whenever.

In response, President Trump has come out and done his Sgt. Schultz act: “I know nothing about Project 2025.” Of course not. Heritage wants to fundamentally transform the U.S. government, to coin a phrase. But the ordinary middle-class voter just wants the woke stuff to stop, and President Trump, far from the authoritarian dictator of liberal fantasy, is just the candidate of Americans that want to make it stop.

And at this point, President Trump doesn’t want the voters to think that he will do anything more than restore America to normalcy.

But we all know that politics doesn’t solve anything. Why? Because of Andrew Breitbart and his dictum that politics is downstream from culture. In other words, so long as our educated-class rulers define the culture, they will also define the politics, no matter how we the people vote. That’s what they are saying in Britland after the election. Britain’s politics was governed by the culture of the globalist technocratic elite before the election, and it will continue to be governed in the top-down manner that the globalist technocrats prefer. Ditto France after Le Pen dropped to third place in round two of the snap election.

How? For the benefit and by the will of the majority, with proper due respect for the minority that a republic demands. Just as our founders laid carefully laid out.

Ridiculous from the first sentence, "far-white populist nationalism". Trump was correct to quickly disavow any knowledge, involvement, agreement, or interest in this. Project 2025 is a discredit to Heritage Foundation. I've actually taken the time to read a bit of it, sophomoric at best, idiotic overall. Incomplete.

And mixing Europe in, mixing white in, is about as stupid as Liberatarians promote abstract Austrian Mises ideas as if they have any meaning here in the US.

Pretty simple.

Will this help or hurt the average citizen living in the country? Will it uplift or degrade their culture and values? Increase their unity or cause division?

Now trade offs will happen but it is the big picture frame work.

Beyond that I have written long paragraphs on what it takes to make a place content, stable and with low violence levels.

The ideas are just a simple and have just as much likelihood of being adopted as I have of sprouting wings and living on nectar. There is no quick profit in it and it does not allow you to boss people around.

With total revenge against the Democrats. The amount of Democrat injury to Trump cannot be measured.

“How should the rising populists, from Hungary to the U.S. to Britain to France, govern?”

With torches and pitchforks, of course.

(That is what the writers want to believe, isn’t it?)

Christopher Chantrill in his own words:

“Biography

“I am CHRISTOPHER CHANTRILL, a member of the international capitalist conspiracy. Both my grandfathers owned and operated import/export businesses in the early twentieth century, one in St. Petersburg, Russia, where my father was born, and the other in Kobe, Japan, where my mother was born.

“I was born in India and raised and educated in England. I immigrated to the United States in 1968 and worked for many years designing and implementing utility control systems and software in Seattle.

“Soon after moving to Seattle, I instinctively revolted against the suffocating left-coast culture of the Soviet of Washington, and soon came to revere the four great Germans who helped inspire the Reagan revolution: Ludwig von Mises, F.A. Hayek, Leo Strauss, and Eric Voegelin. Since then I have broadened my appreciation of “The German Turn” that has transformed the world over the last 200 years.

“I have written for Liberty, FrontPageMag.com, and The American Thinker. My book Road to the Middle Class celebrates the self-governing culture of the United States in which enthusiastic Christianity, education, mutual aid, and living under law have taught generations of immigrants to rise from indigence in the countryside to a life of competence and prosperity in the city. My book An American Manifesto: Life after Liberalism tries to imagine what America would look like after the end of left-wing politics and big government.”

I believe he is only kidding himself, we are making no progress against international globalism or communism 2.0, and we won’t make any progress until two-thirds of younger adults come to understand that the course we are on is suicidal (for most people, for elites of course it works great so long as they can make pretend jobs for themselves).

It was probably true around 1980 before Reagan won that a large percentage of boomers had seen enough of 1970s hippie-style socialism and wanted out. But since the early 1990s the pendulum has swung back to the left in stages, only reversed in a very minor way by Bush 43.

We could see another “morning in America” moment, but elites are very dug in and won’t give up power easily. Writing a glowing review of one’s own work is not going to cut it.

As little as possible.

Reagan quoted Lao Tzu when he said ‘running a state is like cooking a small fish, the important thing is to not do too much”

While my initial response was "mass executions for the traitors" I realize a positive solution is far better. President Trump has said (and he may have been quoting Reagan) that success is the best form of revenge.

Start by bringing manufacturing and it's jobs back to America, re-establishing the work ethic that built our nation. Reducing our dependence on foreign countries with their own self-serving motives is self-defeating and damages our overall security.

The CIA is re-directed to it's original mission of casing foreign threats. Double for NSA whom I hear is way overstaffed. Homeland Security and it's abuses of our civil liberties gone. When TSA keeps stripping grandmas while waving illegals onto planes without checks they prove their uselessness.

Full stop on policies wasting our money on "green new deal" false science goals. Carbon Dioxide is plant food, nuclear power is a super-efficient means of power, solar and wildlife-damaging windmills can't provide enough to justify themselves in the large grid and mankind is arrogant believing it's percent of a percent of actual damage justifies ruining economies with "climate change" scams.

Climate change was here long before we were and it's foolish to tinker with our insufficient understanding of it. We live over a literal ocean of fuels that should be utilized for our benefit as we've progressed to where we use them with minimal pollution. Selling excess to other countries for profit benefits everyone. Bye bye, EPA and it's tyranny.

Clean up the Social Security number fraud that enables illegal aliens to replace citizens and levy serious fines and penalties on their employers.

Stop the financial support of said aliens using SSI, SNAP, Medicare loopholes and Leftist blue state's and city's abuse of these over the needs of our own people. THIS is how you start massive self-deportation.

Because we have decades of bureaucratic regulations and un-necessary laws that are never rescinded I propose one new office to deal with that. This would probably require a Cabinet position with Congressional approval but continually ignoring this problem is choking our government like weeds and vines in a garden.

Establish a test standard for all individuals entrusted with teaching our youth to oust the knowledge-bereft "social justice" frauds from actual educators. Tell them you'd like fries with that.

Leave that at the state level because they'll be responsible for education, law enforcement, environmental policy and food/drug standards after those Federal agencies are liquidated. Tell them you'd like extra ketchup for those fries.

These are things I've been thinking long and hard about ("The stupid. It hurts!). If I posted you it's because I read your posts and respect your opinions. Contributions and corrections welcome.
