During his State of the Union address in March, President Biden announced an ambitious American initiative to get more aid into the Gaza Strip — a $230 million floating pier off the coast of the war-torn territory.
Biden explained that the Joint Logistics Over The Shore pier “would enable a massive increase in the amount of humanitarian assistance getting into Gaza every day.”
It didn’t.
Barely a week into the operation, four US Army boats broke free from their moorings and floated off. One washed up on an Israeli beach.

Iran pays well.
It will really suck to be them on JD.......
Ha! I wish.
This is so fun to watch. For 4 years these young radicals have run the country. But give them enough room and they hang themselves because this same radical bunch, a nasty bunch isn’t going anywhere. Stubborn as Pharoah and it’s a civil war in the Democrat Party.
And it’s just so fun to watch this implosion. Because they deserve it......this nasty bunch. All of em.......nasty.
What implosion?
I think we as taxpayer bought diplomas for a bunch of Hamass Wannabes. Fuzzy Muzzie Terrorists.
The article didn’t mention the many aid trucks stolen by Hamas operatives, right off that pier. Yes, aid got to Gazans with US help; unfortunately it got into Hamas Gazans hands. Maybe 7 aid trucks stolen, lax security thanks to Biden and his supporters.
In the long term, the best thing for Gazan citizens is for Hamas to be taken out. It’s sad that innocent citizens are collateral damage, but that happens in every war.
Most Jews will anoningly still vote D.
You don’t think the democrats are imploding?
No, in what way are they imploding? They have total control over the country and the culture, and have had for a long time. They are pretty much in an unassailable position. Is that not true?
The celebrations are way premature.
The Democrat party machine is still intact, and the vote fraud procedures are still in place for the "swing" states. The big money sponsors are still pouring treasure into the campaign coffers, although there have been a few notable defections.
The lower-lever minions are getting whiplashed from all the changes of direction, and they are caught in a crossfire, but they are completely expendable. What we are seeing is a factional conflict between the billionaire families who sponsor the party. The clever plans for the Biden administration did not quite work as desired, and the faction which controls that part of the government has been weakened. Their rivals smell blood in the water. It is all about who gets to retain control of the machinery.
If the factions can settle that among themselves, the minions will fall back in line very quickly to support the winners.
But maybe the factions cannot settle their conflicts. And Biden is deteriorating faster than expected. He could expire at any time wrecking a great many plans.
A slew of high-level departures from the Democrat party organization, the Biden administration, or the Federal bureaucracy are the telling indicators. Also, violent attacks by Leftists against other Leftists at the Democrat convention.
We are not there yet.
The best thing for them is to have Trump win in November. Because we will still have faith in the system.
Then Gavin Newsom will win in 2028. He'll pack the Supreme Court if necessary to save democracy.
It's awfully hard for me to consider any Gazans as innocent, because seeing video accounts of them handing out candy and dancing in the streets when innocent Israelis are killed in bombings of cafes, buses, stores, and kibbutzes. Not only that, they teach Gazan children as pre-schoolers to hate Jewish people and chant for their death. There are no innocents in Gaza. Kill all Hamas participants, and I don't care about any collateral damage to Gazans around them, they all should be punished for attacking Israelis.
Things could work out that way. Or many other ways.
I expect we will have a civil war no matter how the election turns out. A solid 45% of the country is not going to accept the results. And the winners will attempt to exterminate the losers - politically, financially, culturally, and even physically. They will not succeed of course. But the collateral damage from "the troubles" will be enormous.
The structure of the problem is the same, whether "We" are the winners, or "They" are the winners. The game has degenerated into a "Winner Takes All" condition. Then again, one alternate strategy is to kill the lights, grab the pot, knock over the table and run like hell.
How about "Let's play Thermonuclear War"?
The biggest risk to whoever prevails will be from factional infighting and opportunistic moves by foreign governments as America is severely weakened from internal conflict.
The exact name of a Democrat or Republican candidate will be of no real importance by 2028. We will have much more serious problems to deal with.
Nah. We saw the playbook by the Left in '20 and '24.
ANTIFA/BLM protests now Hamas protests are there to disrupt the democratic process.
Trump's second term will be sabotaged by nonstop civil disorder.
Gavin Newsom will bring a new tone to the White House in 2028. It'll be an one party state.
Life goes on as normal. But the quality of life will continue to decline. A best example of that is Trudeau's Canada. We're just 10 years behind. But we'll catch up quickly.
I believe you are definitely right about that.
You seriously think that if Trump wins, his supporters will “attempt to exterminate the losers - politically, financially, culturally, and even physically.”?
We’ll see the usual political attacks. Maybe a few actual prosecutions where serious wrongdoing is found. That’s about it. Most people on the right have actual lives to live and are way too busy to go about what you claim.
The new normal. The males in the Gen Z have realized that the gig is up. They're not joining the military. Or going to the University. Instead they're doing trade jobs.
