Things could work out that way. Or many other ways.
I expect we will have a civil war no matter how the election turns out. A solid 45% of the country is not going to accept the results. And the winners will attempt to exterminate the losers - politically, financially, culturally, and even physically. They will not succeed of course. But the collateral damage from "the troubles" will be enormous.
The structure of the problem is the same, whether "We" are the winners, or "They" are the winners. The game has degenerated into a "Winner Takes All" condition. Then again, one alternate strategy is to kill the lights, grab the pot, knock over the table and run like hell.
How about "Let's play Thermonuclear War"?
The biggest risk to whoever prevails will be from factional infighting and opportunistic moves by foreign governments as America is severely weakened from internal conflict.
The exact name of a Democrat or Republican candidate will be of no real importance by 2028. We will have much more serious problems to deal with.
Nah. We saw the playbook by the Left in '20 and '24.
ANTIFA/BLM protests now Hamas protests are there to disrupt the democratic process.
Trump's second term will be sabotaged by nonstop civil disorder.
Gavin Newsom will bring a new tone to the White House in 2028. It'll be an one party state.
Life goes on as normal. But the quality of life will continue to decline. A best example of that is Trudeau's Canada. We're just 10 years behind. But we'll catch up quickly.
You seriously think that if Trump wins, his supporters will “attempt to exterminate the losers - politically, financially, culturally, and even physically.”?
We’ll see the usual political attacks. Maybe a few actual prosecutions where serious wrongdoing is found. That’s about it. Most people on the right have actual lives to live and are way too busy to go about what you claim.
