Joe Biden has told aides he may have to step down as a 2024 presidential nominee - and what could prompt that decision as early as next week. Allies who spoke with the New York Times said that the 81-year-old has acknowledged that three appearances scheduled for this weekend will make or break his re-election bid.
These include a ABC interview on Friday night and campaign stops in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin not to mention a campaign call on Wednesday in which he reportedly told campaign staff: 'No one is pushing me out.'

But despite the tough talk, Biden is said to privately concede that he may well have to bow out in favor of a younger Democrat candidate to take on a surging Trump.

This is not good for Trump because they could pick someone like Michael Obama who polls way higher than Biden

He won’t be stepping down without guarantees of prosecution protection. I think everything hinges on his ability to take the money he stole and was bribed and walk away scot-free.

I've been posting for well over a year that I suspect that he will, indeed, step down, and...
...I further suspect that this just might be the Dems' deceitful plan, and that they have their candidate(s) already in place and well rehearsed to claim surprise, and that they will "reluctantly" accept.
This way, the Dems avoid that bothersome "democracy" thingie for the whole nom selection process, and that the elites get to maintain, and presumably accumulate power.
Do I know this for certain? Of course not, the Dems and I don't correspond. All just my guesses (looking correct so far BTW.)
