Who's behind the Supreme Court attack on the 'administrative state' | Opinion (barf)
Alternet ^ | July 1, 2024 | Robert Reich

For years, conservatives have railed against what they call the “administrative state” and denounced regulations.

But let’s be clear. When they speak of the “administrative state,” they’re talking about agencies tasked with protecting the public from corporations that seek profits at the expense of the health, safety, and pocketbooks of average Americans.

Regulations are the means by which agencies translate broad legal mandates into practical guardrails.

Substitute the word “protection” for “regulation” and you get a more accurate picture of who has benefited — consumers, workers, and average people needing clean air and clean water.....

Make no mistake: Consumers, workers, and ordinary Americans will be hurt by these decisions. Big corporations — especially their top executives and major investors — will make even more money than they’re already making because of them.

“ Regulations are the means by which agencies translate broad legal mandates into practical guardrails”

You see Mr. Reich, that right there is the problem. “Broad legal mandates” is the antithesis to established rights such as due process, equal protection, and other pesky barriers to government tyranny. That you use the word mandates suggest you do not understand that even when the word “shall” is part of a law it does not preclude a person from having their day in court if they run up against that shall.

You must be thinking of the Divine Right of Kings.

They know how to attack because they accuse the opposition of what they are already doing or wish they were!

It got out that wind turbines are totally unrecyclable! The jig is up. Now instead of piles of plastic we will have piles of wind turbines when they are done killing the oceanic creatures off the east coast.

Corporations control various agencies by telling the fascist bureaucrats what laws to write in order to benefit corporations and crush competition. The fascist bureaucrats are upset that they’ll no longer get cash bribes from corporations.

Reich is an idiot.

Reich is an idiot.

Who's paying him? He acts like an influencer so you hear him carrying the narrative for the Democratic Party.
