A summer COVID surge is underway in the U.S., warns the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) — so should you be concerned?

As of June 25, 2024, the CDC estimated that COVID-19 infections are "growing or likely growing" in 44 states and territories, according to a news alert on its website.

Despite the rise in cases, hospitalizations and deaths remain low, the data shows.

Given that the pandemic was declared officially over as of May 5, 2023, public health officials don’t collect the same amount of COVID data as they once did.

It was a rhetorical statement, but out of 10 doctors should be shot in the face. I think the very nature of medicine desensitizes and dehumanizes its practitioners somewhat and, under the right political environment, turns the. Into monsters. They really need to make ethics and philosophy a bigger part of medical school curriculum.

My experience is colds are somewhat commonplace in the summertime. Go outside and get sweaty, then go in the air conditioning in a crowded space.

I usually get a summer cold every other year or so, ever since childhood.

My son has covid rn for the second time. He has the first two shot series.

I don’t have covid and I never got any shots.

I could write a book on the problems I've had with the medical profession. When you see them there should be a large roulette wheel you spin. 1 segment is "I Will Do Nothing For You". 1 segment is "I Will Hurt You". 1 segment is "I will Help You Some But There Will Be Side Effects". And the last tiny segment on the wheel reads "I Will Help You".

I could've filed two legitimate malpractice suits in the last ten years but don't because of the stress and time involved. One resulting in an ICU stay and another involving emergency surgery due to poisoning.

Everyone has access to your records. HIPPA was a joke. It merely confirmed who all could access them and there is a list.
