We need rain!!! My refrain as well. But your corn needs it more.
There is a big fire up around Fairbanks, so it has started.

Oh, I thought it had cooled down quickly there.
I don’t know where the thermometer is that they read for this area but it’s always a little different than the one at the house. It doesn’t feel quite as good as it sounds because it’s sticky outside. Still better than this afternoon!
Much better now. No more dust stuck to my skin and hair. LOL

A very pleasant good Saturday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks to the Canteen DJ's for posting the music to today's thread.
Be sure to support the artists in this thread by buying their music and attending their concerts when they come to your area.
Yesterday at Comanche Lake:
We're under and Excessive Heat Warning again today so we will do an early trip to the lake again later this morning. Then, we will have ribs for supper later today.
How's everyone doing this morning?

I like the guitar, etc, but I really like the piano that is prominent at times. Thanks!

The corn is really struggling. It makes me sad to look out the front windows or go down the driveway. It was so gorgeous 3 weeks ago.
Looking at the fire and smoke map, there are a lot of fires in AK now. The one up by Fairbanks is a biggie. 23,409.8 acres.
There’s a fire showing not too far from here. I guess that’s where the little ash bits came from that are all over the car.

You are really hitting on songs I remember from long ago, and all are pretty lively.

Yeah, it’s always better when you get rid of the dust ...and grass. LOL!
I heard from one of the weather chasers that that Saharan dust cloud was going to make it’s way to the US...and all the way to Texas. Just what WE need is MORE dust. Ack!
But the Atlantic is sure getting active, storm-wise. Maybe one of them will sling some rain up your way. Ya never know.

I keep an eye on the dust cloud coming off of Africa on the GOES satellite site. It’s been piling out across the Atlantic for a little while but hasn’t come up here yet. A little shift in the air currents is all it takes.
That storm over the Atlantic has become a tropical storm now and is predicted to move up into the Gulf next week. It’s down where the dust cloud is so I guess the air currents can carry it up too. Luverly.
We could sure use the rain one of those tropical systems would bring but I don’t wish that kind of havoc on the people who live along the coast.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Looks like it was mighty toasty, even heading out early yesterday. Gizmo seems to have had a good time though.
