MOSCOW, June 23 (Reuters) - Russia said on Sunday that the United States was responsible for a Ukrainian attack on the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula with five U.S.-supplied missiles that killed at least five people including three children and injured 124 more. The Russian Defence Ministry said four of the U.S.-delivered Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles, equipped with cluster warheads, were shot down by air defence systems and the ammunition of a fifth had detonated in mid-air. The ministry said U.S. specialists had set the missiles' flight coordinates on the basis of information from U.S. spy satellites, meaning Washington was directly responsible. "Responsibility for the deliberate missile attack on the civilians of Sevastopol is borne above all by Washington, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, and by the Kyiv regime, from whose territory this strike was carried out," the ministry said.

Agree with you 100%. I think the referendum was fair and that Crimea indeed belongs to Russia. Both Crimea and Donblast have had special status from the moment of Ukaine’s independence.

At least three people were killed in a Russian bombing attack on Ukraine’s second city, Kharkiv, on Saturday afternoon, Ukraine's president said.
Another 38 people were wounded in the attack, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said. Four aerial bombs were launched against the city, damaging residential buildings, shops and public transport stops, said Kharkiv regional Gov. Oleh Syniehubov. He said that four of the wounded were in serious condition.

The US (and half the world too) are supplying aid to Ukraine in order to repel this Russian aggression. This aid is due to Ukraine according to various international guarantees given Ukraine, plus the prudential cause of discouraging this sort of international aggression.
Yes it did mean we were attacking the Soviets - IN AFGHANISTAN. We fought many proxy wars in that era without directly attacking Russia itself. And before you claim that Crimea isn’t Russia, that fleet has been parked there since the 18th century... Russia fought a very costly war in the 1850s to protect it... they almost certainly will do so again.
