You should name your sunflower Barron!
It’s certainly tall enough, Sissy!

If you’re able to use a light blanket, your temps are a lot better than ours. LOL With it being so hot lately, I’ve turned the thermostat up to take it a little easy on the central unit. A sheet is all I can stand to cover with.
Ya wanna trade? :-)
Things are well enough here, other than it being hot. Isis was ailing a bit but new meds have her right as rain now. The other kittehs are in good shape.
But tonight they’re being buttheads, scrapping too often. They’re feeling that almost-full moon. LOL

Hey there, Kathy.
It was a toasty one today but not horrendous. That comes this weekend into next week. Ugh!
I’d just about kill for your 70s this weekend. LOL
It was pretty dreary up there today but I’m seeing some blue sky now as the clouds start breaking up. You’ll have a few hours of sunlight, at least.
Any duckling “mixers” today or have they stayed in their own groups?

We just got a nice little rain
that sneaked in on us.
No thunder, just a nice quiet downpour. Yay!

YAY! I meant to ask earlier if you’d gotten any rain today but forgot. I’d noticed rain showers in the vicinity and hoped at least one would move your way. Sounds like one finally did!

There was one before we got up late this morning. We thought it was just a sprinkle, but hubby said there was 1/4” in the gauge. He’s not home right now to see what’s now in it.
Peaches was outside and when he came back in, he gave me a piece of my mind. I blotted his wet fur with a paper towel [yes, he lets me do that] and he settled down. LOL!

Good. You did get one earlier. Sounds like the lawn and flowers will be happy.
Unlike Peaches tonight after getting caught outside in the shower. LOL

They are already looking healthier. I even see real grass peeking out from amongst the weeds that have invaded our back yard.

Ash and Tim and the kiddos just left. We had a really good visit. *sigh*
Momma of 7 the younger came right up and the kids got to feed them, and see momma chase the big ones that got too close.
And they found more stuff to take home..some now and some to think about how to get them home next time.
The poor kids are exhausted...long day at the zoo and then someplace new, my house that Ash knows so well. It was really fun! They loved my stair lift. LOL!! And I am exhausted as well.
