Nearly half of Americans report that the recent spike in inflation is making it harder to make ends meet...
Monmouth University released a poll Wednesday showing 46% of Americans are “currently struggling to remain where they are financially.”
That figure is the highest point recorded by this pollster since Joe Biden took office and far higher than during his predecessor’s term.
“In polls conducted between 2022 and 2023, this number ranged between 37% and 44%,” Monmouth said in its report.
“In prior polls from 2017 to 2021, this sentiment was much lower at 20% to 29%.”
Prices have risen about 20% since Biden took office, a huge increase across all kinds of goods and services.
...
The overwhelming narrative is that a large segment of the American public feels it is financially behind the eight ball,” Murray said.
...
The poll surveyed 1,106 adults from June 1 to June 6.

And so many of them will vote for more when they vote Biden.
The DEM voters are locked in.
Keep voting Democrat.
Or, just the working Americans…..
The other half work for the government.
And yet, the economy is fine. Not! Fookin’ idiots!
The DEM voters are locked in.
><><
Yes, they’re literally stuck on stupid.
Didn’t half of America Vote for this?
Only if you really believe that Joe got 81 million votes.
The 44-50% that pay no federal income taxes don't mind at all, not at all. They're happy with the Democrats, who'll keep the EBT cards filled up, cash money coming in each month, pay the rent, utilities all medical bills - and they don't have to do a thing!.
Now we've got 10 million more to join the welfare rolls - and vote Democrat.
"Households in the bottom 20% of income often pay little to no federal income taxes due to low taxable income and tax credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC). According to the Tax Policy Center, about 44% of U.S. households pay no federal income tax, largely because of these credits and deductions."
They want to highlight between Trump & Biden, they do not want a real debate. Watch for false fact-checks being leveled against Trump, while Biden will never be challenged.
So Trump can just that’s a lie Biden does it all the time
I went into town to purchase a can of R-134a refrigerant to help recharge the A/C in my old car. I remember when I could get a single can for about $3.00. Today I spent $10, that’s more than three times the price I used to pay.
I used to be able to feed a family of 5 on what I can feed a family of 2 today.
Teenage boys could really eat the chow.
They will paint the picture that Trump is wrong, while giving the impression that everything Biden says is factual.
The fact is, that their fact check claim will be a lie.
It's done to sway people who can be swayed, and hope they never learn any differently that Trump was right and that they had lied with their fact check.
That was done against Mitt Romney when he debated Obama, and Romney just allowed them to get away with the lie. He didn't even challenge that the moderator said his answer was wrong. If I remember correctly, the topic was Russia and their threat to the U.S, and the moderator chimed in that Russia was no longer a threat to this nation. The audience had a good laugh. Two years later we saw the Russia certainly had the capability of being a threat, if the U.S. threatens them with continued NATO expansion, especially after they execute a coup d'état on the sitting Ukrainian president, and they retaliated with the retaking of the Crimea.
Back then I had 3 high school age kids. 2 boys and a girl. All three could inhale the groceries.
“The overwhelming narrative is that a large segment of the American public feels it is financially behind the eight ball...”
While I’d LIKE to blame Brandon, and he IS a HUGE part of this mess, most Americans are idiots when it comes to money management in the first place. Let’s be realistic, here.
Granted, when Socialist Democrats are first in charge, life generally sucks. And then it sucks even more!
Get your financial house in order, FReepers. You’ve gotta!
