CHANGE FOR BETTER SERVICE
Have you ever noticed that the typewriter keyboard places the most frequently used keys far apart from each other? The purpose of this arrangement was to slow down the typing speed. Keys on the machines of the 1800s used to jam if the typist went too fast.
About 40 years ago, the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard was developed. On this keyboard, the most frequently used keys were in the home row, and the right hand did 56 percent more work than the left. Typists using this keyboard could increase their speed up to five times without increasing in error. Still, we continue with a keyboard designed to be inefficient. Why? We don't like changes. Mark Twain once said, "Only a wet baby welcomes a change." However, today's military requires innovative, out-of-the-box thinking. Whether we like it or not, we change every day. Prayer: Almighty God. Help us to be more creative, thoughtful, and pro-active in serving our country. Amen.

If it breaks 60 again I will sit out for a bit.
Probably pushing 30 ducks...maybe 5 ladies.Haven’t seen momma for several days, and with only 4 babies. She didn’t come up.

((LOL)) Yep, and even though it was a little warm out there, there were a couple of people out recreating.
No amount of hot weather is going to stop people from enjoying themselves at the lake.((LOL))

Yeah, gotta enjoy it while I can. The heat AND humidity will crank up later in the week and I don’t know how long it’ll last. It won’t be long before I mow as late in the day as I can.
Sleep well and be kind to your alarm in the morning.

From the looks of things, you should have taken time today to sit out on the deck. There’s a system moving in and it looks like you’ll get some rain. And a lot of wind. It’s already cranking up pretty good at the airports. The weather statement says winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 or more tonight through most of tomorrow. :-(
That’s a pretty good crowd for summertime.
I hope Momma and her babies are ok. Maybe she got tired of not being able to dive in with the group to get more food. The kiddos held her back from doing that.

Hot weather is THE time for being at a lake. The lake here is always crowded this time of year with boaters and swimmers.

Well, if I have to trade some sitting time outside for rain...I’m all for it. LOL!!
Dead calm here right now. Looking towards the airport, I see open patches in the sky. Looking towards the mountains, no breaks, but the sky doesn’t look all that low, like rain....but hoping.

Dead calm? Wow! Weird how things are so different and you aren’t all THAT far from the airport. The wind’s kicked up pretty good there.
The last cam op left the cam parked aimed to the east so I can’t see what’s going on to the west now. The clouds coming over the mountains are thick and dark. The rain’s reached the east side of the mountains and we’ll see if it manages to push on through.
Looks like I’m about an hour away from rain and storms and I can feel it closing in. About an hour ago, my joints set on fire. The weather statement says wind gusts with the storms are up to 50 mph. I hope it doesn’t get that bad here and knock over some of the gorgeous corn in the fields.
