In the days and weeks leading up to January 6, the nation's highest-ranking military officer, then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley, was moving in lockstep with the political anxieties of top Democratic leaders.
These Democrats grew anxious as over 140 House Republicans planned to contest the election results during the electoral college certification that day. Milley was then deeply engaged with a circle of confidants including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice, and former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, among others—all of whom shared a unified disdain for President Donald Trump.

....He indicated that these concerns were influenced behind the scenes by Milley, who often made disparaging remarks about the president and regularly referred to his fear of a so-called potential “Reichstag moment.”
Meanwhile, Milley has insisted he maintained a posture of strict neutrality, vocally distancing his leadership of the military from the political turmoil surrounding the 2020 presidential election. "My job is to stay clean by ensuring that the uniformed military remains out of domestic politics," Milley stated during his testimony before the January 6 Select Committee. "The United States military has no role in domestic politics, period, full stop."

Milley saw himself as “tasked” with safeguarding “against Trump and his people” from potentially misusing the military, something he confided in a “trusted confidant” to ensure he remained true to this plan. “I have four tasks from now until the twentieth of January,” he affirmed, “and I’m going to accomplish my mission.”

Milley has admitted promising China that he’d give them a heads up if Trump decided to take military action against them. I’m sure Taiwan was interested in that admission. That’s at least a court martial if not a charge of treason.
That nasty piece of sh*t needs to be busted to private and get sent to Ft. Leavenworth.
He belongs in prison for disobeying orders from his commander in chief and undermining his authority.

Yep. He should have had his pension revoked and his stripes removed once it was known of that communication.
He also illegally ordered that no nuclear weapons or other deployment orders should be obeyed unless they came from him.
He is not in the nuke or deployment chain of command.
He delayed National Guard when Trump wanted them, then flooded two divisions into the streets of DC after it was all over.... to protect the coup.
Trump was cut off from all communications and simultaneously frozen out of all media and social media access.
Most of his cabinet quickly quit. Pence never spoke to him again. Pence with the backing of Pelosi, the DOJ, the FBI, McConnell and Milley overthrew the government in a stealth 25th. Pence was the actual leader of it and basically acting President. HE called Milley and ordered the two divisions worth of troops into the streets. That is the tell. A veep does not have ANY legal authority to deploy the military. Pence went to the fake inaugural to hand over the Presidency to Biden.
I believe Trump was told he could do nothing without permission and if he issued any but a very benign statement, he would be removed by formal 25th that day, and out by the next. Then he and his kids would get arrested.
If he shut up, he would be allowed to depart.
If this all happened in South America, it would be seen for what it is.

This is the nexus of going from a Representative Republic to a Dictatorship. Oh well, there is Golf on TV, the sun is shining, and Trump is leading in the polls.
IMO, this country is lost because? only a very small number of citizens know what actually happened on Jan 6 2021. The reason is, THEY DON’T CARE.

Who was he going to call? There was no command and control. Milley knows something about that, being he went far beyond his role in a Constitutional Republic. Maybe if the President would have gone up in AF 1, and used a bullhorn from above. YEAH, that could have worked...lol
