Yep. He should have had his pension revoked and his stripes removed once it was known of that communication.
He also illegally ordered that no nuclear weapons or other deployment orders should be obeyed unless they came from him.
He is not in the nuke or deployment chain of command.
He delayed National Guard when Trump wanted them, then flooded two divisions into the streets of DC after it was all over.... to protect the coup.

Most of his cabinet quickly quit. Pence never spoke to him again. Pence with the backing of Pelosi, the DOJ, the FBI, McConnell and Milley overthrew the government in a stealth 25th. Pence was the actual leader of it and basically acting President. HE called Milley and ordered the two divisions worth of troops into the streets. That is the tell. A veep does not have ANY legal authority to deploy the military. Pence went to the fake inaugural to hand over the Presidency to Biden.
I believe Trump was told he could do nothing without permission and if he issued any but a very benign statement, he would be removed by formal 25th that day, and out by the next. Then he and his kids would get arrested.
If he shut up, he would be allowed to depart.
If this all happened in South America, it would be seen for what it is.
