Hey there, radu!
It was...and it did! It wasn’t really that hot either. Well, I guess 90 is a tad warmer than I prefer, but with the sun mostly behind the clouds, it wasn’t a mean heat.
How were things there? Did you get rain today?
That 90 probably felt a little warmer due to the humidity. Still, with no sun beating down, it probably wasn’t too bad outside.
It rained most of the day here. Light rain for the most part but an occasional heavier rain came through. There’s about a half inch in the rain gauge. It was windy, too, and only got up to 69 here so it was a good day to stay in.
HaiKathy!(((Hugs))) yeah,a couple of trips this weekend like Sunday/Monday and Tuesday.
Nice weather...we still await rain. We need that cleansing “after winter is over” rain to clean things up.
Good idea to stay in. I expect that it was mighty humid there, too.
Hubby got out to mow, but wore out pretty quickly because of the humidity here. I felt bad for him, but I can’t mow. It’s just not in me. I stayed in except for feeding the kitties both times. And to take him some water.
Welcome Troops, Veterans, Families, and Allies!
God Bless You and Keep You Safe.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours, and I hope you are feeling much better.
100% humidity with it raining. LOL It wasn’t sticky, though, because it was cool and VERY windy. It made the wind feel even chillier. I wore a sweater when I made a store run this afternoon, during a break in the rain. It’s the same temp now as it was this afternoon (69) and it feels fairly nice because there’s no wind. I just went out to dump the rain gauge and was comfortable without a sweater. The air is quite damp though. More rain is about to move in.
Your poor hubby. I hope he’s recuperated by now from mowing.
I have to mow LATE in the afternoon so I can stand to do it. Even on a riding mower, heat and humidity can wipe me out. Some mow early in the morning but my grass is so thick, it stays wet from dewfall for a long time. I know how long it takes to mow each section and I time it so I’m out at the garage blowing the grass off of Champ just before the sun sets.
We had ribs for supper yesterday:
Yesterday at Comanche Lake:
How's everyone doing this morning?
Yeah, he’s better now, but when it becomes summer, there will be no escaping the heat. He’ll need to mow very early in the morning. It’ll wake me up, but better than than him getting a heat stroke! Besides, I can always go back to sleep....or take a longer nap. LOL! Our low humidity [most of the time] makes it easier to mow earlier.
Glad it was nice when it got later so you could actually enjoy going out. The wind can really spoil a mood!
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
OOOOOO! Bet you and Gizmo had company at the lake yesterday, as pretty as it was.
There were a few people out there coming and going. I did see a couple of guys swim off one of the piers. The weather was nice out there yesterday.
I imagine any dewfall you have there is gone quickly once the sun comes up. It does make it better for mowing early and beating the heat.
We get very heavy dewfall most nights, I guess due to the lake. The grass gets as wet as if it rained. It helps when we have dry spells because even then, we have dew. It keeps things alive until the next rain.
I only went out long enough to dump the rain gauge. I just didn’t need a sweater or jacket.
It looks like a splendid day. I thought the place might be packed with swimmers and boaters, enjoying the sunshine.
Yes...nothing worse than a useless rain cloud.
I’m going to have to water tomorrow. The back looks like it is dying of thirst. Oh well, it will give me a chance to go look in the shed that the snow load took out.
At least the wind didn’t blow the hair off your head. :)
Guess I’d better head to the barn. My alarm will thank me in the morning. I, however, won’t be thanking it! See ya tomorrow night! Have a good one.
Good evening, luvie, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Thank you for the hymns.
It’s clearing off now. If you couldn’t have rain, at least there’s some sunshine now though the sun is low.
I hope for a pretty day tomorrow since they’re having a little fly-by event in the afternoon, arranged by the Aviation Museum. It’s to show off their Grumman Goose that was just restored. I don’t know if the other Goose that “lives” at Lake Hood will be out, too, but I hope so. They looked so beautiful flying together the other day. They should also invite the guy who owns the Grumman Widgeon. I just saw that take off from the lake a little while ago. The three flying together would be awesome.
Give that grass a drink! It doesn’t look too bad but it will before long.
That poor shed. It was a trooper, surviving so many winters piled with snow. This past winter’s snow was just too much for it. I hope there wasn’t anything important in there.
