A Democratic congressman has publicly called on Gov. Hochul to pardon former President Donald Trump after he was found guilty this week of falsifying business records — for the sake of the nation.
Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) said a Trump conviction only helps his campaign.
“Donald Trump is a serial liar, cheater, and philanderer, a six-time declarer of corporate bankruptcy, an instigator of insurrection, and a convicted felon who thrives on portraying himself as a victim. @GovKathyHochul should pardon him for the good of the country,” Phillips declared in a X post Friday.

Usually not a crime. However, Fat Bragg used some ancient minor law that negated the Statue of Limitations (SOL) and switched the normally misdemeanor charges into the lowest class felony in the State, then moved forward with the 34 charges of illegally deducting them as Legal Expenses. Cohen, the key prosecution witness (convicted perjurer,) swore it was repayment for him fronting "hush money" to a Whore who claimed she had sex with Trump. That was never proven. Even that whore changed her testimony/comments many times in public. In fact the Slut owes big money to Trump for the loss of Trump"s defamation lawsuit against her.
The above paragraph includes so much legally wrong that the DOJ and the IRS both said no thanks when approached about possible charges against Trump.
First: There is no such NY law that says 2 people can't agree on a contract that benefits both within set law.
Secondly: District Attorney campaigned on a get Trump platform. That alone should have forced him to recuse himself from the case.
Thirdly: If Cohen did indeed get repaid for advancing money to the Whore to keep quite, declaring it to be LEGAL FEES on the paperwork was entirely legitimate since Cohen was part of Trump's legal team. Not to mention Trump has an entire attorney/accountant team and only signed the Tax Returns.
Disclaimer: Some times Trump pissed me off with his lame Tweets. But I watched the man's policies closely. He stopped Obambi's "fundamental change" in its tracks.
