A Democratic congressman has publicly called on Gov. Hochul to pardon former President Donald Trump after he was found guilty this week of falsifying business records — for the sake of the nation.
Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) said a Trump conviction only helps his campaign.
“Donald Trump is a serial liar, cheater, and philanderer, a six-time declarer of corporate bankruptcy, an instigator of insurrection, and a convicted felon who thrives on portraying himself as a victim. @GovKathyHochul should pardon him for the good of the country,” Phillips declared in a X post Friday.

Trump should REFUSE a pardon.
One can only legitimately accept a pardon if they’d done something wrong!

Take the pardon but say you’re not guilty. For peace of mind, I’d buy an island somewhere and leave this banana republic and its Uniparty behind. How could Trump ever trust our legal system again? There’s no shame in saying I’m out of here, it’s your problem now America. I respect Trump for the contributions he’s made, but how much more can we ask of the man? When many in the Republican party are also complicit in persecuting him?

No. Worse than that, they may kill Biden, and blame it on an unhinged Trumper so they can play the bigger victim. Then hold a gigantic state funerally to get sympathy and probably throw in some more fake Nazi torch marches and race riots over some criminal dying or being shot in action. Whatever it takes is what they will do. The end justifies their means is their motto.

It’s really their only play. I posted this thought on the night of the publishing of the verdict. Biden could as a federal law is sort of implicated and hey the rules don’t matter anymore
However, Hochul is a much more elegant solution. No one outside of New York cares about the governor of New York. She takes the fall, Trump is now a pardoned felon (record not expunged with a pardon) and…. They can hang the albatross around his neck and the governess goes on to a lucrative deep state position with unlimited power and disappears from the public eye and gains the only current real power in the United States

no, dear, those are the two the state called to testify - the convicted gLoat and the sex worker extortionist. Insurrection is a fun word, but has anyone at all been convicted of that? We should all be so lucky as to declare bankruptcy 6 times and still sit at the helm of a real estate empire known worldwide; most business owners fold at one.
Maybe instead the governor can do something about the crooked attorney that’s intent on jailing victims defending themselves from criminals. Remember Jose Alba?

It’s not working. He’s gaining support instead of losing it. So Hochul must stop gloating and grant him a pardon. All the other cases must die and be forgotten. At least they’re sincere.
