President Joe Biden on Friday defended the conviction of former President Donald Trump and claimed it was “reckless” for his gagged political opponent to call it “rigged.”
Trump called the trial a “scam” and vowed to appeal the guilty verdict.
About two hours after Trump spoke, Biden directly mentioned Trump by name in a carefully crafted press conference. “The American principle that no one is above the law was reaffirmed,” Biden claimed. “Donald Trump was given every opportunity to defend himself.”
Biden pointed out that Trump’s lawyers chose the jury in Manhattan — a location from which Trump tried to move the case. The Manhatten jury pool more often than not leaned politically left, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman said during jury selection.

I guess that the networks all interrupted programing to put Biden on this afternoon. I have a family member that was really upset about having their program interrupted. The same thing happened yesterday after the sham verdict. The networks interrupted programing to gleefully declare that Trump had been found guilty. They are basically running free campaign adds for Biden. Trump should demand equal time.

How can the city of New York be kept safe if people are allowed to go around calling legal expenses legal expenses?
Its not like muggings, theft, rape, or murder or the like which are of course harmless and no bid deal.
Why we can be 100% sure that Biden would never call his legal expenses legal expenses. The Democrats are far too moral for that.

Does a defendent really HAVE to defend themself? The defense almost always puts on a case etc but the burden of proof is really on the prosecution to show someone is guilty with a preponderance of the evidence. Theoretically I would think the defense could continuously rest while the prosecution flails away.
Biden’s statement is quite damning by itself.
I’ll always believe taterheads decision to speak about the Trump verdict came after that so called pos judge shared the jury instructions with the Whitehouse........or as Andy McCarthy referred to it as “a road map to a guilty verdict”.
Not reckless if Trump explains, in clear and simple 1-2-3 terms, HOW it was rigged.

Remember that on Monday, Joe, when your kid goes to court for illegal gun possession etc...
