Moscow warns West after Ukraine told it can hit Russia with Western weapons

Russia has accused Nato and the US of "provoking a new level of tension" after the US and Germany became the latest allies to let Ukraine's military to use Western-supplied weapons to strike targets inside Russia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Nato countries, especially the US and several European countries, had "entered a new round of escalating tension and they are doing this deliberately", in remarks quoted by the Tass news agency.

The UK and France had already signalled they were open to easing restrictions on Ukraine striking military sites on Russian territory, before US President Joe Biden said on Thursday night that American-supplied weapons could be used.

Because countires like Isael have announced their response for weapons used. Israel is very specific. If Germany or Italy are responsible for Iran producing nuclear weapons, then they bomb the capital cities of those two countries if a nuke hits Tel Aviv. If a Russia missile takes out Tel Aviv they will hit Moscow. They are very clear on this matter of national survival.

Every country attaches pre-conditions on the use of said weapons.

HOWEVER: We are not actually “giving or handing anything over to Ukraine”. We are using our own support personnel to arm the weapons, launch the weapons, and we provide the targeting data. We are now trying to pass the buck to gullible audiences on Ukraine.

Part of the timing of this announcement was under the radar of Biden’s prosecution of Trump.

While like a bull in a china shop Russia can do plenty of damage.

But in reality the war in Ukraine should have shown the Russians cannot do combined arms very well, their rather lousy air force has disappeared from the skies, it’s navy has been chased back to port, it’s soldiers rip out the silver and copper wire of their tanks and vehicles and often sell their own weapons to buy vodka so they can stay drunk.

This is no army. It’s a bunch of bums with guns.

I think it’s a false notion to think we could roll over Russia like we did Iraq in the first and second gulf wars, Russia is much more capable and willing to fight back.

Russia is barely beating Ukraine, and only because they've had two-plus years to run their zerg rushes. They can barely push 200 mi outside their borders. They have one carrier that currently can't even run helicopter operations, much less even get out of the harbor. You really think they'd pose any kind of serious threat to these US? She's a very local land power, that's it.

Hydrogen/nuke, essentially the same thing. Russia doesn't have enough to do what you're claiming. One, they wouldn't launch their full arsenal at just these US. Two, their nuke maintenance may not be as bad as everything else, but their launch rate is definitely gonna be pretty low. Most missiles probably can't even get off the ground. Three, we have good ballistic missile defenses. I doubt very many, if any, of them would get through.

How is Russia going to hit us? They can barely get 200 mi outside their own borders. How are they gonna get further than that / cross an ocean? They have no functional carriers, every one of their subs is being tailed by one of ours, the only thing they could possibly do is activate terrorist-style attacks from what illegals they've snuck in, but that's likely not that big of a serious functional force. What do you think Russia could possibly do?

My point is, if we get into a real war with Russia in Ukraine then a much larger number of American soldiers will coming home in body bags and the war will expose how weak our economy is in terms of industrial production
