More reckless insanity. The Russians have made it unequivocally clear what will happen to those NATO air defenses if brought to bear in such a way.

No question, for the most part all the fighting has taken place inside of Ukraine, once NATO air defenses in Poland and other surrounding NATO countries get involved and shot down Russian aircraft they become legitimate targets, Russia will respond, and the war is now expanded into NATO countries.

Expect the war rhetoric to ramp up in the next couple of weeks, if any of the reports about Kharkov/Kharkiev are true, the Russians are approaching from multiple directions, if that city is taken reasonably soon, you will start to hear about not only NATO air defenses, but actual ground troops getting involved.

Not particularly reckless. Russia shot down hundreds of US airplanes over North Korea and North Vietnam, killing as many as a thousand air crew. The US did not, in response, attack Russian territory.

If Russia attacks NATO installations, NATO would, of course, be justified in attacking Russian forces on Ukrainian territory. Given that in Korea and Vietnam, the US did not respond to Russian attacks on US personnel by attacking Russian forces on Russian territory, Russian attacks on NATO territory would invite reciprocal NATO attacks on Russian forces in Russia proper.

Having Germany enter the war directly to support the puppet regime in Kiev would mean its energy infrastructure was fair game and could be attacked and destroyed.

Why would they risk their civilian energy infrastructure like that? 🤔

To be most effective, some incoming would require shooting down over Russian territory, where they are originating, no? And would ones launched from Russian aircraft from inside Russia also need to be downed along with their Russian aircraft, also inside Russia? Would this mean establishing and enforcing a no=fly zone, not only over Ukraine near the front, but inside Russia in at least a buffered border area inside Russia that Putin would use to launch air to ground missiles from? What are the most logical consequences of NATO trying to enforce this from neighboring or regional NATO countries?
I ask in the interest of us all.

It seems European leaders want to get into this fight. And I think Biden will get into this fight before the elections.

Is NATO at war with Russia? Depends on what the meaning of “is” is.

And here I thought we were going to have a world war not started by the Germans.

Not a good idea. Puts Putin too close to pushing the nuke button.

The Germans are warning the Russians, not doing this.It also makes it easier for Germany to now just give more air defense systems to Ukraine.
It would be insane for NATO countries to shoot down Russian aircraft in Ukraine. They certainly have the right and duty to shoot down Russian missiles that are off course and are going to hit a NATO country like Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania. NATO could likewise choose to protect Moldova, which is not part of NATO.
