In a solemn, pre-dawn ceremony, the flag that's been flying over Minnesota's State Capitol for decades was lowered for the last time.
Voices hushed in a crowd of more than a dozen onlookers at 5 a.m. on Saturday as the flag with Civil War-era imagery was carefully carried from the darkened Capitol rooftop to the building's front steps, where two National Guard members folded it into a tri-cornered shape and presented it to the state's Historical Society for preservation.
As the sun rose, a new official banner was hoisted on the same flagpole overlooking St. Paul, a stripped-down design featuring distinct state symbols that supporters hope all Minnesotans can identify with for at least 100 years to come.

It appears the new flag is very meaningful to Somalis. It means - We are succeeding in taking over.
It’s designed to look somewhat like the somalia flag. Somalis will see the resemblance. Americans with their heads up their anal exit passageway will not bother doing a Google search and will go on fat, dumb and happy until the next iteration of the somalia flag in Minnesota.
It looks like it was designed by a 24 year old and selected by a committee of bureaucrats.
That is the eight-pointed star which is the muslim star. It is being pushed in many states.
The 8 pointed Star is a common symbol in Islamic art and architecture. It is known as the “Khatim” or “Khatim-Sulayman,” which means “seal of the prophets” in Arabic. This symbol is often used to depict the Islamic faith and the unity of the Muslim community.
The outgoing flag has the motto ‘L’Etoile du Nord’, which Minnesota children know as ‘Toilet of the North’. Maybe change not so bad.

According to the demographics of Minnesota, it is 76% White. Good number of Somalis living there now. But they don’t have the numbers yet. The problem is that Minneosta is so woke.
The Minnapilos Beltway is the problem. That is 1 State. Greater MN is a WHOLE nother one.

This would have been a more truer depiction of the inhabitants in Minneapolis. /spit
Despite praise from vexillologists, a poll found that just 23% of Minnesota voters supported switching to the new flag, while 21% supported replacing the flag with a different design and 49% wished to keep the existing flag. A criticism of the design is its alleged similarity to flags from Somalia; this criticism was rebuffed by the commission overseeing the flag redesign. Another criticism of the final design is that it is “plain”.
