DON'T GIVE UP

Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. — Galatians 6:9 KJV

Do you ever feel like giving up? Perhaps you’re discouraged about your finances or you’re facing problems with your health, your marriage, or your children. Sometimes problems seem so overwhelming that the road ahead seems too steep to climb.

We all go through these times. I’ve wanted to give up and quit many times through the years. But when I realized I had nothing interesting to go back to, I determined to keep pressing on.

Even though continuing to move forward is sometimes painful, it is far better than giving up and sliding backwards. God is doing a good work in you so He can do more for you and through you. So ask Him to fill you with holy determination tonight and keep moving in the right direction.

Good evening, radu...a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.

More rain for you?

Another day of no sun, but more melting

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.

May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.

May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Oh my goodness...I know the pilots are anxious, but those guys are really anxious.

Glad they put on a good show. I’m sure they are really glad to put the floats back on and pack away the skiis for awhile.

No rain here today though it did rain in some parts of the state. Mostly cloudy but the sun came out for a while several times.

Lots of meting up there now. Most of Lake Hood is clear now but the slush that’s left keeps getting blown around the lake in a clump by the wind.

Lots of happy ducks. Maybe that’s where some of your ducks are hanging out these days. :-)

Howdy, luvie.

Glad you didn’t get hit by a tornado this afternoon. One was knockin’ at Odessa’s door but calmed down right before it got there. It was nice to see rain on the radar over your area at last.

I went back in the live stream to watch it all again. LOL It’s nice to see planes on the lake after so long. They didn’t get to use the lake much over the winter because it snowed too soon after the ice started forming. That made it take a lot longer for the ice to get thick enough for the planes. Then it just kept. on. snowing and the snow was too deep for the ski planes. The few times they got the groomer out to smooth some runways, it would snow again. They gave up.

Looking forward to seeing the Grumman Goose back on the lake again. That is a cool plane.

Hey there, radu!

I did see Reed and his crew down around Ft. Stockton where they saw a huge wedge tornado. Didn’t know one came that close here. We never got an alert or anything. The rain was nice! Everything looks so clean and green now. And it’s actually chilly out there. LOL!

Maybe my ducks are out there. LOL! None are here right now.

But, when I got home from work and looked out, there was the odd couple. They have never stayed when I go out...and today was the same. I threw out some corn and we will see if they come back.

I watched Brandon Clement, who was also tracking the tornado close to Ft. Stockton. It was impressive but it looked wider than it was because it was rain-wrapped.

The one up your way got real close to town before it fell apart. SO glad you just got a good, cleansing rain. Your hubby might not be so happy about it when he has to break out the mower. LOL

There’s a bunch of them out there these days, happy to have open water to play in again. Some of yours might have gone there. Some might have decided to hang closer, at University Lake.

The odd couple is still together, are they? You’d think that by now they’d know they don’t have to take off when you step outside. Silly birds.

I was going to pull up his stream, but decided to try to take a nap instead, so I missed the little bit of drama here. I’m glad I did. I’d have been pacing the floor between front and back doors if I’d have known. LOL! I’m glad it missed us!

Not only the mower, but he JUST finished watering the yard right before it started raining. All that money for icky city water and now we don’t need it. Our luck.

Sometimes, not knowing what’s coming is better. Unless you want to watch the light show. LOL
It does stink that it hit during your nap time.

What rotten luck that he watered the lawn today. Oh well, the grass got a GOOD drink this time and should be VERY happy.

In my case it’s better not knowing about tornadoes. I have been afraid of them my whole life...since my uncle would yell tornado every time a cloud came over my grandparents’ ranch when I was visiting. He was the sweetest man...normally, but he loved to get me wound up, and it was soooo easy. LOL!

A tornado isn’t something I want to be surprised by.
I was never afraid of storms. Loved them even as a little kid. Mom was terrified of them and at the first rumble of thunder, she dragged my brother and me into the hall and closed the doors. I hated it because I couldn’t see what was going on.

Hubby was afraid of thunderstorms only because he’d been struck by lightning. Kinda can’t blame him. He did NOT like it when I went outside with the camera when storms were close by. LOL
