I live on the Nueces River north of Mathis, TX. We have 12’to 13’ feet gators in Lake Corpus Christi. Had a 12’er come up on my canal bank.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they are naturally occurring in the Rio Bravo
They can travel great distances over dry land.
One of my farmer friends had one in his pond
Illegals taste like Chicken - Rio Grande Alligator
Freshwater (Amazon River).
Nope-fresh water fish-they live in the Amazon river, and some people keep piranhas and the equally bloodthirsty Pacu as home aquarium pets-wonder how many have been turned loose in the warm water of the S. Texas rivers...
That was my first thought. Let the prehistoric monstes take care of the problem.

Although I did not know that freshwater crocs don’t usually attack humans. Bummer!
And landmines.
My wife had suggested this three years ago.
I was wonder where she had been last weekend.
“ I say we raid the Everglades and get some more”
Louisiana is closer, and bubba says they be some big O gators down in the swamp!!
Oh boy. I know there’s some crazy Florida boys who can catch a bunch of big gators in Lake Jessup. Someone needs to pay them to catch and transport them for release in TX.
