Don Feder calls gov't schools 'treason factories churning out a steady stream of anti-Americanism'
I make a pilgrimage to the Concord Battlefield every year around April 19, the anniversary of the battle that marked the beginning of our War of Independence. I think of it as the place where America began.
Imagine my dismay on learning that the town of Concord, Massachusetts, is ashamed of its heritage.
In January, it removed three historical markers, which had been in place since 1930, that commemorated the founding of the Massachusetts Bay Colony 300 years earlier.
The move was based on a recommendation from its insane Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, which judged that the signs "harmed indigenous people" – who make up 0.2% of Concord's population.
This is virtue signaling at its worst. It's an attempt to reconcile its professed multiculturalism with the reality that Concord is as diverse as the Beverly Hills Country Club.
The town is 82.3% white. The median household income is $184,086, compared with the national average of $74,500. In 2020, voters there went 5-to-1 for President Biden.
America's hometown has turned its back on America. It is, in effect, saying that it's better to bury history than offend the hypersensitive – in this case, not Native Americans but rich, guilt-ridden white liberals.
Sadly, Concord reflects a growing trend.
Increasingly, patriotism is out of fashion. According to the latest Gallup Poll, only 39% are "extremely proud" to be an American, compared with 65% in 2004. In a 1998 Wall Street Journal survey, 70% said patriotism was very important to them. Today, it's 38%.
That's why the military consistently fails to meet its recruitment goals. Last year, the Army missed its target by almost 25%.

I think we can all be patriotic without the neocon my country right or wrong. We’ve made mistakes and there’s a system in place where we can make up for them, at least partially. So what gets in the way of people loving their country more? Letting the left get away with their hatred doesn’t help.
Let’s hear your ideas.
The New World Order and the Global Government cannot really get going while the concept of the nation state survives.
This is why the Left hates Hitler. Yes, he was a socialist. Yes, he was on the Left. BUT, Hitler was a National Socialist and nationalism and patriotism are the big threat the international communism. So Hitler is the worst guy ever.
Except, of course, for Trump. Trump is a patriot. Trump loves the USA. This makes him a nationalist. Or, “worse than Hitler”.
The people behind Biden are making choices that are destroying this country. That’s on purpose. After the nation state collapses, they are planning to Build Back Better with a global government.
1) Public square statues. Build fences and put concertina wire on the inside.
2) Get rid of the national anthem before sporting events.
3) Fix the drug problem. 6 months in a prison work farm would put stop to it.
4) Give Hawaii back to the Hawaiians just like we did with the Panama Canal.
5) Independence for Puerto Rico. Force it on them.
6) Build the wall.
7) 100% school choice with diplomas awarded upon passing the GED-any age.
Both political parties see America as nothing more than an economic zone that exists solely to make money. It’s hard to be patriotic about that. They need to end all immigration for at least a generation to cut back on multiculturalism which creates low trust societies
Being patriotic to America means getting it cleaned up, not supporting the Government’s perverse corrupt path in the name of patriotism..
And for the most part, the courses that taught the valuable professions anyway weren't bad about teaching the hate on American BS. For example none of my computer science courses taught the woke BS. My son says it's the same for his generation. But it's all over the liberal arts courses that have no value in the real world. In other words, it's in the courses people are doing their best to avoid anyway now that folks see college as worthless (again except for the few good majors).
Re”...100% school choice with diplomas awarded upon passing the GED-any age.”
Yes! Yes! Yes!
This semester I am taking a Chemistry course for STEM majors. No woke stuff at all.
I don’t get it, so very little discussion on the benefits of community colleges, such as lower costs, and getting the prerequisites completed before going to a 4 year college or university.
It’s important to separate the government and our country.
The U.S. Constitution is one of the most brilliant pieces of work in all history.
I am fiercely patriotic about that.
The idiots running the government are nothing to be patriot about.
Especially those without respect for the principles in the Constitution.
If so that makes an excellent case for the existence of a Creator to make them juuuussssst right. It seems like if either one of them was off by just a little bit it'd mess up atomic cohesion and bonding with other atoms. If they weren't right both here and now, they'd never be right anywhere else in the universe or at any other time for random chance to accidentally create matter and life.
The first purpose of education in a republic is to teach love of country.
Government schooling teaches cynicism about country. It’s as simple as the fact you can’t force kids to pay attention in an “assembly” about colonial history or whatnot when they are hankering to go home.
Sorry. NO guilt here. I've had my fill of it. 'Pod
Are you serious right now?
That’s the path I took.
*Get rid of the national anthem before sporting events.
Are you serious right now?*
Absolutely. Keep in mind it was put in place by congress in 1938. It was meant to take our minds off the Great Depression. Government is like that.
For that reason alone I have no problem with what Kapernick did.
