Federal criminal investigation opened into Key Bridge crash
Washington Post ^ | 4/15/24 | Katie Mettler and Devlin Barret

The FBI has opened a criminal investigation focusing on the massive container ship that brought down the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore last month — a probe that will look at least in part at whether the crew left the port knowing the vessel had serious systems problems, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

Authorities are reviewing the events leading up to the moment when the Dali, a 985-foot Singapore-flagged ship, lost power while leaving the Port of Baltimore and slammed into one of the bridge’s support pillars, said the officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing probe.

Another of our conspiracy theories coming true. I remember posting a Lara Logan piece calling this the day after the attack and being pooh poohed unmercifully here by the usual Administration shills.

Its a Federal ship channel, so the FBI will naturally be involved.

An investigation could literally involve anything, from terrorism, to was the captain drinking before the crash to, to did the ship-owner not check a box on some Fed.gov form.

You know the drill, by now. We state the effing obvious....ie that it was not a natural occurrence or an “axedent”. We get mocked for it. The FBI swoops in to do clean-up and CYA work. It’s a pattern.

To me, it looks like the work of the Cancel Culture Club homoz and lezboz along with their tranny friends and Drag Queen “Rainbows and Unicorns Books” readers. Or it could be some Charles Harvie protestors trying to block a river by knocking down the bridge instead of protesting on it.

If this really was a deliberate attack on the bridge, we will never hear about it. Any evidence pointing in that direction the will be hidden deep within the FBI’s headquarters building.

And the mainstream press? No one will care enough to dig into the story.

They had electrical problems while they were in port...previous to this voyage which ended in a hit on the bridge. That electrician is likely on the rug.

Until it is proven not to be terrorism, it is terrorism.

Lara Logan is an idiot. And the conspiracy nonsense is just that. With the rumor that the ship had problems in port an investigation is legit, and actually disproves the conspiracy nonsense. If it was a conspiracy they’d ignore that.

Options:
1. Real criminal investigation because they have found something already.
2. Excuse for FBI to suppress what they found already.

I wonder why the administration chose to leak this via an unnamed official, as opposed to simply announcing it.

If it’s a federal waterway, why were there no massive concrete “dolphins” in place to protect the bridge pylons? Will the feds investigate themselves for negligence in that regard? Who was responsible for design, design approval, construction, etc.?

My money is on criminal negligence. The ship has a history of maintenance issues.

The ship had a redundant system for steerage not connected to the generator.
Not sure how it was all connected, but both systems failed?
The Chinese cranes have modems. so it is possible that the Chinese took over the redundant system. Looked like it steered directly for the support tower. The sandy bottom was reported to be too soft for the anchor to grab

How do you know that the NTSB did not interview the harbor pilots? Generally the NTSB is going to talk to everyone on the bridge and pull the recordings of the Bridge from the ship.

Since it was a short voyage, they will have a recording of everything from before the ship left the dock.
