J.K. Rowling won a significant victory over Scotland’s new speech restrictions after daring the police to arrest her over comments criticising transgender ideology, as Police Scotland said they would not take criminal actions against the Harry Potter author after activists reported her statements to law enforcement.
Successfully calling the bluff of the leftist government of First Minister Humza Yousaf, J.K. Rowling struck a stinging blow against the oppressive Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act, after she goaded the police to arrest her as the bill came into law on Monday for insisting that transgender “women” are in reality still men.

I’ve never read her books, nor have I seen the movie/s. Good rule of thumb, if it’s extremely popular, it’s probably dreck. And I can’t stand the fantasy genre. In bookstores, the fantasy aisle is like the candy aisle at the supermarket, poison in pretty packaging. There are also entire aisles devoted to vampires but that’s another rant.
Yeah the constabulary no doubt consulted with their political commissars and they were advised that she was too big to go after. If she was arrested it would bring a bad look to Scotland and create an enormous PR cluster whatever. They’ll go after smaller fish.

Leftists have a two-tiered justice system - one (anything goes) for themselves and a second (charge people for anything the left doesn’t like) for everyone else.
Usually elite leftist are in on the scam and realize the issue is never the issue, leftist power is the issue. It appears Rowling is not in on the scam and has bought into feminist Dogma. From that standpoint it is easy to see why she would not want men in female spaces, trans identifying or otherwise.

it’s not too many individuals that can back down the gov’t. good on her. the Truth still has power for those with the courage to stand. thank God for her.
her books were pretty good, imho. read the first ones with wife and kids, initially. later my wife read the last ones aloud for us. more than a few Christian references woven in. lot of Christians can’t take the witchcraft thing though. books were much better than the movies, as usual. though the movies weren’t bad.

This law is a round-about way of getting Sharia law installed in Scotland. They will will push to take it further in the future.
