(New York Jewish Week) — The Jewish Democratic Council of America, the leading Jewish organization affiliated with the Democratic Party, endorsed George Latimer in his bid to unseat New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman in the upcoming primary.
It also endorsed Wesley Bell in his campaign to unseat Rep. Cori Bush in Missouri, marking the first time that the Jewish Democrats have endorsed primary challengers to Democratic incumbents.
Both incumbents have been vocal critics of Israel. In New York’s 16th district, which covers southern Westchester County and a sliver of the northern Bronx and is home to a sizable Jewish community, the Israel-Hamas war has become a focal point of the closely-watched campaign.
Latimer, a centrist who serves as Westchester County executive, has been firmly supportive of Israel since Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack. Bowman, who is a member of the Squad, the group of progressive Democratic members of Congress, has been harshly critical of the Israeli military campaign in Gaza, accusing Israel of “genocide.”
The Jewish Democratic Council of America announced its endorsement of Latimer on Thursday alongside 21 other candidates, including New Yorkers Mondaire Jones in the 17th district and Josh Riley in the 19th district.

The Jewish Democratic Council of America wants to dump Jamaal Bowman because he supports people who want to kill Jews but endorsed Latimer who wants to let Jewish women kill their Jewish children? While I would be happy to send Bowman packing, I do not think Latimer will be much of an improvement over Jammy.

In a primary, you pretty much have to.
These are the choices you have in one of the bluest blue states in the Union. They’re supporting Tweedledum instead of Tweedledummerer. Anything’s an improvement, I suppose, and in New York that’s what you have to settle for.

The Jewish community in southern Westchester County is nowhere near as sizeable as in the 60’s through the 90’s so Bowman doesn’t have anything to worry about. Besides Jewish Dems will stick with the status quo.

They broke through the self-hate barrier, and are not supporting the black anti-Semite just to prove they aren’t racist. That’s progress.
I was station in New York state what seems like eons ago. The city was bright blue but the rest of the state was red. Now it seems as if almost the entire state is deep blue.
How the people of New York state could elect a Vulcan as governor over Lee Zelden is beyond my ken.
He nearly won, but (un)fortunately some dead people managed to steal it for Hochul (I surmise).

If one votes democrat...they would idiots voting for idiots anyway. Why try splitting hairs on which democrat is better or worse.
I believe the main reasons people vote democrat are
1)They or their business receives large government funds, one way or another.
2) want to insure that they can make babies and kill’em if they have second thoughts
3) Have irrational hatred of any Republican

Well, that may work to get rid of Jamaal Bowman guaranteed, but then they have to leave the Democrat Party to vote in the Republican to ensure that neither Democrat wins and is returned to the US House.
Another reason people vote for Democrats..... Their Daddy voted for Democrats [way back in about 1960], and so they will too - never bother to listen to the issues or what has actually happened over the past several years.
