The Biden administration is perplexed by what it views as a major overreaction by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cancel a planned Israeli delegation to Washington in response to the US allowing a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire and hostage release to be adopted, according to a US official.
Briefing a small group of reporters, the official speculates that the move by Netanyahu had more to do with Israeli domestic politics.
US President Joe Biden has no plans to call Netanyahu about the cancellation nor did Netanyahu call Biden about it in advance, the official adds.
Correct - US has no influence over Israel; nor will it while this type of administration is in place.

“Perplexed”, “don’t understand”, “confused” All ploys to create pandemonium, distract, divert, dodge and posture. It throws people who are forthright off balance when you used these kinds of responses. I don’t know why but it does. It allows the opposition to often gain the upper hand. I think it is because it turns a good offense into either a defense or garners some sympathy for the opposition and their position. Not sure. It has been used on me with great effect in turning the tables until I come to grips with the ploy.

The administration wants to play the chickensh*t game by ‘abstaining’, which means we agree with Russia and China, but we might lose some votes if we say what we really believe. The administration really doesn’t care how many dead Israeli Jews there are and in fact want someone who will do what THEY want. That is why they hold out carrots of selling arms. Well, from Israel’s position, it might be easier to forgiveness if they save their Nation than getting permission to save it.
