Yes, my brain is pretty much mush and in need of a nap, at minimum.
Intense day, with a few minor glitches, but we got the payroll out on time.
Good evening, Janey...((HUGS))...are you home again? Infection knocked down for now? Gone for good, I hope!
Good Evening Kathy (((Hugs))) - yep, home finally, seems the infection has finally been taken care of.
I don’t know how long ago the rain started showing up on the radar. This afternoon, there was just some up across some northern states and that was it. Now it’s showing up down there and a few other areas. I guess your rain is what will come here tomorrow evening into Friday.
Looks like you’ll have rain for a little while tonight. More moving up your way. YAY!
With so many different types of trees, we’ll have heavy pollen to deal with for a while yet. It’ll tone down after a while. The grass and flower pollen isn’t as heavy but it’ll go on all through spring and summer.
I do have the corn pollen to look forward to later though. Yuck.
No sandstorms for you! This rain ought to help ward that off for a little while at least.
At least the worst is behind you for the week. Early bedtime tonight is most welcome, I’d say. A short nap will probably sneak up on you. LOL
Bible in a Year :
Help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness.
Ole Kassow of Copenhagen loved bicycling. One morning, when he saw an elderly man sitting alone with his walker in a park, Ole felt inspired by a simple idea: why not offer elderly people the joy and freedom of a bike ride. So, one sunny day he stopped at a nursing home with a rented trishaw (a three-wheeled bike) and offered a ride to anyone there. He was delighted when a staff member and an elderly resident became the first riders of Cycling Without Age.
Now, more than twenty years later, Ole’s dream to help those who miss cycling has blessed some 575,000 elderly people with 2.5 million rides. Where? To see a friend, enjoy an ice cream cone, and “feel the wind in their hair.” Participants say they sleep better, eat better, and feel less lonely.
Such a gift brings to life God’s beautiful words to His people in Isaiah 58:10–11. “Help those in trouble,” He told them. “Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” God promised, “The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring” (nlt).
God told His people, “Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities” (v. 12 nlt). What might He do through us? As He helps us, may we always be ready to help others. .
Reflect & Pray
In your town or city, who needs help? What simple assistance can you offer them today?
Dear God, please show me a simple way to help others so they can find life in You.
Spotted family? Oh my goodness!
Thanks for the link.
Good evening, Mooch...spring is trying really hard to come and stay. We shall see.
Hope your spring has arrived.
Good evening, luvie...forever thankful for our troops.
Yes, we are!
Ugh. I’d forgotten about the corn pollen. Is it corn for Dusty this year? How fun for you. Then when that’s over, then you have harvesting dust. Makes my nose itch just to think about THAT!
Yes, there is quite a cloud cover now and it’s still raining nicely. I love it! I hope it rains all night. :) I opened the back door to let Ginger in and Shadow and Grey skittered in, too. They went back out, but it was cute that they wanted in.
Yes, this will be a corn year. It was soybeans last year. I enjoy corn because I’m hidden from the road for a while and if buffers the sound of the trains.
But I get corn pollen every year since the guy across the road is on the opposite schedule. He had corn last year and will have beans this year.
But that’s fine with me. I really love seeing the fields full of crops every year. It’s like a little piece of heaven here. A little pollen is a small price to pay.
I don’t think it’s going to rain all night there, based on the current radar, but it looks like you’ve had a decent amount already this evening. Your yard should really be happy after this.
Poor Shadow and Grey. They’d love to stay in where it’s dry but know Ginger won’t have any part of that.
As long as neither of them go with cotton, all will be right with the world. :)
I am happy with the rain. We haven’t checked the gauge yet....but it is midnight and that’s when hubby usually does it. Except he’s asleep. LOL!
They never stay inside long. Ginger didn’t even fuss at them. They just think they want in and then they decide no. They are as they are. Sweet little things.
Rain? Maybe? I sure hope so!!
And guess what? The moon is in full view out my front window tonight!! It’s beautiful!
Thanks, linMcHlp, for the links, and more story.
Thanks, Mayor, for today’s wonderful lesson.
That’s awesome that you can see the moon tonight. I can’t for a change. It really has been raining here. Such a lovely sound on the sidewalk.
Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:
How's everyone doing this morning?
A few farmers around here plant cotton but I only drive past one field, and that’s on the way to the museum. The others are out along the back roads.
The guy across the road told me he’d never plant it and I think Dusty got his fill of it after the two years he planted it.
Your hubby and I do the same thing - - check the rain gauge at midnight. I hope he has good news whenever he checks it tonight. It didn’t show as real heavy rain and that’s a plus. It all soaks in and do y’all ever need that!
It’s like a game. An open door is an invitation for cats to go through, especially if they aren’t supposed to. LOL I don’t know how many times I’ve shut one up in a closet - usually Willow. She’s slick and she’s fast and I don’t see her slip in.
Yours know that Ginger doesn’t like them inside but they just have to slip in for a minute. Kinda like a dare. “I’ll do it if you will.” “Ok, let’s go!” LOL
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Looks like gizmo had a great time at Wichita Ridge yesterday. VERY happy face.
