White House: We ‘Hear’ Criticisms of Israel Policy, ‘That’s Why the President Has Called for a Six-Week Ceasefire’
Breitbart ^ | 03/16/2024 | Ian hatchett

On Friday’s edition of NBC’s “MTP Now,” Biden Senior Advisor and Assistant and Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs Tom Perez responded to critics who say the Biden administration’s policies are too pro-Israel by saying that the White House hears “the concerns of our friends in Michigan, in Illinois, and across the country. And that’s why the President has called for a six-week ceasefire.”

Host Kristen Welker asked, “What do you say, though, to these leaders and to these communities who say not enough is being done, that they want to see a permanent ceasefire — and I know that there are negotiations ongoing as we speak about trying to broker a potential temporary ceasefire — but they also say that the United States shouldn’t be supplying more arms or more aid to Israel unless it’s conditioned on a guarantee that Israel will do more to protect civilian lives?”

Most of the aid—approximately $3.3 billion a year—is provided as grants under the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program, funds that Israel must use to purchase U.S. military equipment and services. Israel has also historically been permitted to use a portion of its FMF aid to buy equipment from Israeli defense firms—a benefit not granted to other recipients of U.S. military aid—but this domestic procurement is to be phased out in the next few years. U.S. aid reportedly accounts for some 15 percent of Israel’s defense budget. Israel, like many other countries, also buys U.S. military products outside of the FMF program.

from your article. Most of it comes back to buy our military supplies.

Good negotiation on Israel’s Part?

I was talking to my wife about it—basically the US is financing US military contractors—Israel is just the middle man.

Israel is wealthy enough now so they need to be more like France and become less reliant on American weapons. And that includes saying no to American money because it comes with strings attached.

Back in the '70s, this was not an option. But they have an $564.15 billion economy and they will continue to get larger.

That’s funny, he ignores the criticism of him from Americans about his border policies that result is the deaths of innocent Americans from these illegal alien invaders.

It would be good if Israeli politicians show solidarity with Bibi and the war aims. They don’t owe Biden nothing and would be better off with President Trump.

Any bets on how long this insane new pier will last after its completion? I don’t think it will be allowed to exist more than a day after it’s finished. Nor should it.

Agreed the insane pier won’t be operational very long, not at all. But I’m betting some Turkish or European antisemites will try using it for weapons smuggling to the terrorists first

Biden’s just pissin’ off everyone lately. But as long as those Iranian kickbacks keep rolling in, he doesn’t care.
