Measles was considered eliminated in 2000 because most Americans were vaccinated against the disease or had some level of immunity.

More fallout from Biden's open borders policy.

Voter should remember this in November.

Thanks to Pedo Joe’s invasion of our southern boarder states, measles are now one of America’s “greatest strengths”! Go measles!

And the “Democrat War On Women” ™ continues to escalate.

Children get measles, and women, generally, have to care for them.

quotes:

Measles is an acute viral respiratory illness. It is characterized by a prodrome of fever (as high as 105°F) and malaise, cough, coryza, and conjunctivitis -the three “C”s -, a pathognomonic enanthema (Koplik spots) followed by a maculopapular rash. The rash usually appears about 14 days after a person is exposed. The rash spreads from the head to the trunk to the lower extremities. Patients are considered to be contagious from 4 days before to 4 days after the rash appears.

In the decade before the live measles vaccine was licensed in 1963, an average of 549,000 measles cases and 495 measles deaths were reported annually in the United States. However, it is likely that, on average, 3 to 4 million people were infected with measles annually; most cases were not reported. Of the reported cases, approximately 48,000 people were hospitalized from measles and 1,000 people developed chronic disability from acute encephalitis caused by measles annually.

One out of every 1,000 measles cases will develop acute encephalitis, which often results in permanent brain damage.

One to three out of every 1,000 children who become infected with measles will die from respiratory and neurologic complications.

Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) is a rare, but fatal degenerative disease of the central nervous system characterized by behavioral and intellectual deterioration and seizures that generally develop 7 to 10 years after measles infection.

Measles is one of the most contagious of all infectious diseases; up to 9 out of 10 susceptible persons with close contact to a measles patient will develop measles.

The virus is transmitted by direct contact with infectious droplets or by airborne spread when an infected person breathes, coughs, or sneezes. Measles virus can remain infectious in the air for up to two hours after an infected person leaves an area.

One dose of MMR vaccine is approximately 93% effective at preventing measles; two doses are approximately 97% effective.

Single-antigen measles vaccine is not available.

Severe measles cases among children, such as those who are hospitalized, should be treated with vitamin A. Vitamin A should be administered immediately on diagnosis and repeated the next day.

The recommended age-specific daily doses are

50,000 IU for infants younger than 6 months of age
100,000 IU for infants 6–11 months of age
200,000 IU for children 12 months of age and older

A few years back there was an outbreak of Whooping Cough in Washington state. The government and media’s reaction was to deny where it came from even though the answer was clear as daylight.

The article is poorly written, as they usually are. Ae they blaming anti-Covid-vaxxers or those who are against measles vaccines?
COVID has nothing to do with measles and the experimental, dangerous mRNA gene jab will not prevent measles.
So just stop it, media, with the propaganda! Shut the hell up!

In med school in Chicago in 1981 I was doing a pediatric rotation at Childrens Memorial Hospital.
One day our professor took us in to see a refugee child from Cambodia.
The kid had measles and our professor said “ take a good look because you won’t see that in your career”
He was right, since I retired last year.
Just missed it.

anyone who gets Measles is a moron that deserves what they get. You can’t even register for school without proof of shots.

Thanks to illegal immigration now Malaria is also back. Can Yellow Fever and Cholera be far behind? I’ve read that one man was found to be infected with screw worms in his nose. This was supposed to be gone from the US and the upper half of Mexico decades ago.

Vito Corleone could have come in through Mexico and not have had to spend time in a tuberculosis ward.

What other nasties are out there waiting to be imported in the bodies of illegals.

Being one of the older folks, I “survived” measles.
We all did.
It was the thing you have to get in your childhood.
It just came to town and everybody, who did not had it before, got it. And you were immune for life.
As I remember, it was no big deal!

Frankly, they seem to be hysterical about nothing.
Like the media always do.

They label those who rejected the Covid “vaccination” as anti-vaxxers, which is incorrect for the majority of us. Saying no to one doesn’t mean we reject all vaccinations.

CPBE, DHS, HHS are NOT checking these slag illegal invaders for deadly diseases. If they did, they’d have to hold them at the border and not distribute them throughout the country like they want to.
