I had a Schwinn when I was a kid but I haven’t ridden a bike since I left home at 18. Been a couple of years. LOL

I was riding in my 40s for exercise. Poor thing has been hanging in the garage for lo, these many years of NOT riding. LOL! It would have to have new tires for sure.

I was a waitress in my 40s and got plenty of exercise. The last thing I wanted to do was ride a bike or do anything else exercise-wise. LOL

Yeah, waitresses really work hard. I could have never done it. Partly because I can’t lift a bunch and also because the first time some moron was rude, i’d have probably poured their food in their flippin’ lap. LOL! I am not a patient person. What a shock. ๐Ÿคฃ

It sure IS on its way. It always amazes me how fast the amount of daylight you get changes in spring and fall. It’s a lot more gradual down here.

I’ll bet bedtime IS enticing by now. I hope it isn’t too far off for you. I have a feeling there’s been a lack of sleep the past two nights.

It’s a hard job, no doubt, but I enjoyed it. Most people aren’t rude but there were a few over the years I snapped at. They had it coming because they went too far. People like them should be forced to wait tables for a week, minimum, to find out what it’s like.
Most rudeness, I did my best to ignore.

I did pour a pitcher of beer on a guy when I worked in a bar eons ago. The jerk had it coming and everyone else in the bar cheered and applauded when I did it. LOL

I would have LOVED to see the look on his face when the beer hit him. LOL!

I worked in retail, a job my mom would have HATED for me, and we had our share of rude people. Like you, I was able to bite my tongue most of the time. I did tell one guy to get out and never come back in the store. The upper management backed me up when they heard how awful he spoke to all of us. That was a relief. LOL!

His expression was a winner. He tried to get my boss to fire me but too many backed me up, and the boss told the guy to not come back.

I’ve worked retail, too, and hated it. I had more fun as a waitress or a bartender. Being a store clerk was too boring.

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

At times it was boring but I worked for 4 well-known retailers, so we had, for the most part, great customers who appreciated what we sold. There were just those occasional creeps that show up everywhere. LOL!

My parents put me through secretarial school so I would have skills to get a job that had a better reputation at the time than retail. But I HATED it. All of it. So when I had the chance, I went for what I loved. Talking to people all day about stuff that I already liked.

Looks like Gizmo was very happy with your outing yesterday. Happy face.

Are you expecting rough weather today or will it bypass you?

Working in stores was just too slow-paced for my taste.
I never would have been able to be a secretary. My fingers would sort of lock up when trying to type fast and that kept my wpm way down. I only took typing one year and that was it. Wanted nothing to do with it. That and shorthand. UGH!!
