Concluding California’s most competitive Senate primary in a generation, Rep. Adam B. Schiff of Burbank and retired Dodgers player Steve Garvey will square off in November to represent the Golden State in Washington.
After months of close campaigning, the results were definitive: The Associated Press called the race for Schiff less than half an hour after polls closed, and at about 9 p.m. for Garvey. The other Democratic challengers, Rep. Katie Porter of Irvine and Rep. Barbara Lee of Oakland, were running in third and fourth place, respectively.
Schiff, Porter and Lee campaigned for more than a year to replace the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who had represented California in the Senate since 1992. Garvey, a former Dodgers All-Star, entered the race in October.

Pittsburgh Pirates?
One thing on another note...
Schiff’s the best the democrats have to run for Senator? Really? Let that sink in.
Garvey did have a really messy divorce from his 1st wife way back. Lawsuits went flying IIRC.
True, and Biden is the best the party has to offer.
Both are terrible revelations of just how dismal their
bench is.
“Enjoy the beer, but with the total dem vote adding up to 62%, don’t plan on celebrating a Garvey victory in November. It’s still Kalifornia”
Yep, we have to take what small victories we can get here that being the vial Porky Porter is done. And the 47th district she vacated to run for Senate may go GOP with Scott Baugh. He won the Primary with two Rats splitting the vote behind him. There were a lot of candidates running, and it appears there were a few thousand more Republican votes amongst all the candidates then Rat votes.
The only place schitz should be going is jail
He will bring excitement indeed. It will be overshadowed by the Trump-Biden race. The good news is Trump will generate turnout and Biden will stifle it.
So there’s a chance, especially if the GOP can turn up the ballot harvesting machine to full blast.
EC
Yea turns out it was some sort of free Palestine protest if something… went on for his entire speech it was an absolute mess… didn’t have the balls to shut it down as it just kept going entire time…
Humiliated in “victory”
California is unsalvageable, if this guy is their senator which seems most likely to happen
Watching both their speeches the R definitely gave the better argument by far, but it’s california so… as they say a ham sandwich would get elected as long as it has a D beside its name.
In any sane place Schiff would be laughed off the stage… but CA hasn’t been a sane place for more than 25 years
If Garvey wins it would of course be a major upset, but as long as he keeps it close and competitive, dems will have to dump a lot of money into a California race that might have been the difference somewhere else.
Not in the Calif democrat machine. Not a chance.
Far too corrupt

this IS an issue.

had visual proof that the calif newscum recall was rigged.
the evidence of sleight of hand bait and switch was right under our nose and in our face on our tv screens.

California has the most dishonest counting system in the country.
How dumb the Ca. voters must be to vote for Schiffty, he is a disaster and liar.

Can someone explain what happens to the senate seat between now and Nov. Does the woman from Maryland stay in? I see Garvey came in first for that and I voted twice for him.
The articles i read mention Nov but nothing about the short term seat?
Thanx in advance.
Garvey reminds me of Ronaldus Magnus. Just something about his physical appearance, and his mannerisms.
Not only that, but GOP turnout/enthusiasm in November should be high due to the Presidential election. Garvey has a chance, even though it’s slim.
