Porter grew up in the Englewood community of Chicago, according to her page on the Cook County Democratic Party website. She received a bachelor's degree from Cornell College then studied at Drake University Law School for her Juris Doctorate degree.
Before joining the Circuit Court of Cook County, Porter worked as a lawyer, with licenses to practice in both New York and Illinois, and law professor. She is both an adjunct professor of law at Drake University Law School and a professor of law at Abraham Lincoln University School of Law.

The Abraham Lincoln University School of Law is an online diploma mill based in Los Angeles, California. According to sources, its graduates have an abysmal pass rate on the California bar examination.
The seventy-two page opinion issued by this dizzy judge demonstrated that she is woefully ignorant of the limited authority of electoral boards in the State of Illinois. Porter criticized the Illinois State Board of Elections for not removing Trump from the ballot despite the fact that the State Board lacked the power to do so under the applicable laws and based upon prior Illinois court decisions.

So, any county judge in Illinois can declare someone ineligible to run for office? There are over a hundred Illinois counties. Can a county judge in Southern Illinois strike Biden off the ballot for allowing an invasion of our country?
She is a domestic enemy of The United States. Therefore her actions are null and void. She should be stripped of her office, disbarred, and never allowed to vote again.
She’s a traffic court judge, limited to misdemeanor traffic cases. An overpaid popcorn fart of jurisprudence.
She is so far out of her lane there is not a nation in the world that would accept her ruling, let alone a village in the Amazon.
Yet the headline reads that she kicked Trump off of the ballot. I know that this isn’t the final word, but how is he even temporarily off the ballot on her say so?
Porter is is a Judge in the Traffic Court.
And even that jurisdiction is a reach above her intellect, BUT Porter wants street cred so that she can be appointed to SCOTUS like Jackson was, on the basis of gender and race, rather than on practice and scholarship.This is a Porter SCOTUS campaign.

The Illinois Supreme Court unanimously appointed Judge Tracie Porter as an At-Large Cook County Circuit Court Judge (Countywide). Judge Porter was sworn into office on November 12, 2021. Judge Porter currently sits in the Traffic Division in the Richard J. Daley Center in downtown Chicago, where she presides over minor traffic violations and Class A Misdemeanor matters. Judge Porter is a member of the Illinois Judges Association (IJA), the Illinois Judicial Council (IJC) and the International Association of Women Judges. Judge Porter received Highly Qualified/Recommended and/or Qualified/Recommended Ratings from the Chicago Bar Association and the Alliance of Bar Associations.
Judge Porter is a native Chicagoan who grew up on the southside of Chicago in the Englewood community. Judge Porter resides in Country Club Hills in the southern suburbs of Chicago. Judge Porter received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Drake University Law School. Judge Porter received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Business from Cornell College. She is a graduate of Whitney M. Young High School, where she graduated in the top ten percent of her class.

Judge Porter’s mortgage short sales article, entitled, The Quagmire of Mortgage Short Sale Transactions Under Current Homeownership Tax Policy in a Time of Crisis, was published in the well-respected Akron Law Review and has been cited in an Illinois Third Appellate decision. Judge Porter currently teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Law at her alma mater Drake University Law School.
Judge Porter has served as a board member and volunteer for not-for-profit organizations that serve their communities in the areas of cancer support, environmental sustainability and tree planting, support for residents of Chicago’s Bronzeville community, and preparing high school/college students for entrance into professional sports. Judge Porter is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, a sisterhood devoted to public service to communities throughout the world.
