Chasiv Yar, eastern Ukraine β Ukraine's ammunition starved troops pulled back from two more villages in the country's war-torn east this week, ceding them to Russian forces who've capitalized on their enemies' shortages to seize more territory after taking the hard-fought city of Avdiivka about two weeks ago.
After punishing battles that decimated Bakhmut and then Avdiivka β cities that stood as symbols of Ukrainian resistance for months, even years, but ultimately fell to Russian firepower β Russia's forces have turned their sites and their guns on the nearby city of Chasiv Yar.
What did they do with the money we sent them, already?
Is this one last attempt at guilting Congress into releasing the funds to Ukraine, or the beginning of a new narrative of why Ukraine needs to start peace talks and capitulate?
Seems like Avdiivka was a stronghold for Ukraine. Once it fell, it’s nothing but flat terrain ahead. The Russians spent all of 2023 digging in their trenches. The Ukrainians should have done the same.
But Russia isnβt winning
-The price of eggs is higher in Russia these days
-There is a banana shortage
-There is an increase of a chance of airline accidents because of lack of spare parts
- resources have been diverted from the Russian space program
- Ukraine shot down a Russian bomber
(All above are real news stories )
Here we go.

ANALYSIS AVDEEVKA FRONT, FEB 29 2024
RuAF has continued its relentless offensive on the Avdeevka front. Yesterday the major parts of the settlements Berdychi (1), Orlivka (2) and Tonenke (3) was captured. If the offensive is fast or slow depends on what you compare to. Compared to 2023 the offensive is very fast.
When we look on these three settlements Berdychi is by far the most important, since it’s situated on the next, although weak, Ukrainian defenceline. By taking Berdychi Russian forces already have broken the second defenceline.

Ukraine weekly update: π·πΊ is now in control of the entirety of the City of Avdiivka. With π·πΊ advances over the past months putting increased pressure on supply to the city, πΊπ¦ initiated a withdrawal just over a week ago. The withdrawal was completed at the end of this week.
The war will be over soon,
See post 8
Russian troops have already taken control of those 4 villages west of Avdiivka
Holiday shopping in Europe?
I guess you’re right. The map needs to be updated.
In before UMC Baby Mama’s “Ukraine uber alles” propaganda.
It’ll be a slow creep forward.
Russia has to create a “cost” for not ending this war, so they will keep pushing forward in little bite sizes.
Never was it the intent to take all of Ukraine like some suggest. That would be a long term nightmare: economic, military and political liability.
Basically, Ukraine and the West are put in the position to where if they do not end this, the loss becomes bigger and bigger.
No, the West will not commit their military to this operation beyond the under the table games we’re playing, some SOF, CIA and lots and lots of mercenaries we are defacto paying for. But that isn’t going to win this at this point. It would require a large scale western military intervention to turn things around, which isn’t happening.
My original guess, ~5 months ago, was that this would end in March/April despite all our awesomeness and victories, crushing the Russian economy with our sanctions, Ukraine soon to take back the Crimea with their “Ghost of Kiev” leading the way in what was a glorious counteroffensive... (Sarc)
I suspect the Euros may be the impetus for this. We’ll see.
But YOU can stop Russia today by calling your Congressman and telling him to vote for $60 Billion Ukraine funding package now! As soon as you do, Russia will surrender because the ink in US money is toxic to Russians. After all we KNOW you don’t want the autocratic despots in Russia to win when you can have the autocratic despots in Ukraine win instead!
What did they do with the money we sent them, already?β
Most of that money can be seen whenever you see a rat campaign ad. Some goes to maintain Traitor Joeβs mansions too probably.

It's a veritable banana desert. Or is that dessert?
