KEEPING THE FAITH
The only survivor of a shipwreck washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.
Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stung with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me!" he cried. Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied. It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn't lose heart. Remember, the next time your little hut is burning to the ground ... it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God. Just when you think you can't take anymore ... the Lord steps in. (I'm sure everyone has their own personal testimony.) May God bless you and keep you.

It stopped at my house about a half hour ago. The deck and front steps are all covered in white again, but a half inch or less, not the 6” from earlier.

Well, thank goodness for that! You don’t need to have to deal with yet another heavy snowfall to have to shovel off the deck. That’s heavy work!

They’ve been in and out for years, using the garages along with Hubby. I’m just letting it continue. They haven’t been here very much the past few months, since it’s been a bit cold for working out there, but they’ve been here once in a while.
I’ve been sneezing a little the past week but not too much. There IS a little pollen already but it hasn’t gotten cranked up just yet. I have plenty of Kleenex stocked up so I’m ready for it. LOL
I wish you luck getting sleep tonight without drowning. :-)

Enjoy the next couple of days before the cold front comes through. I hope there isn’t too big of a crowd out there.

Great! It FINALLY stopped. Thank goodness there isn’t too much more piled up after all the shoveling you’ve done today.
Are the ducks happy now that they’ve had dinner, or have you fed them yet?

A little snow would actually LOOK nice.
But no, rotten black icy piles of road-dirt encrusted ICE.
An inch or two would give a better look. LOL.
