@SpeakerJohnson
Every parent, and every American, is saddened—and outraged—to hear about the loss of University of Georgia student Laken Riley. Our prayers are with her family and friends as they mourn this tragedy.
The brutal murderer who took the life of Laken was one of the millions of illegal aliens that the Biden Administration simply released and unleashed upon our country.
For Laken, and the countless many others lost to this border catastrophe, House Republicans will continue to fight tooth and nail for a return to law and order.
Mr. President, use your existing statutory authority and CLOSE THE BORDER!

whole different matter...remember...the house passed hr2, a comprehenssive border bill, in May 2023 and it is sitting on Schumer’s desk. He won’t bring it to the floor. Go after Schumer....
That might be the only remaining tool, however, even that may be too late. Every reduction in funding will cause pain to a certain segment of voters.
The first part of the dilemma is how to effectively associate reduced or eliminated funding of anti-MAGA projects to avoid voter backlash.
The second part is to redirect funds to new projects in a way the average American can support - without securing the signature of the Oval Office and against the 24/7 screaming of our current MSM.
If the voters do not understand the cause for unavailable funding they will associate the pain with the R's, the opposite of the intended result.
Yes of course it’s all whole different matter, l was making a larger point. Your reputation as a contrarian is secure.
My brother was married to a woman who came into the U.S. as a young child illegally. After they were married she returned to Mexico for a time to fulfill the requirements for legal residency, then came back in and obtained legal papers. My brother paid attorneys several thousand dollars to get all this done according to law. She is now an American citizen
Whatever happened to that legal process? Now it’s just come in, get a VISA debit card worth thousands, and disappear into our country, God knows where.
...and a US Military, and ‘Homeland Security’, etc.
What is the point of all these departments if they can’t defend a border? Fine...get rid of them.
We all know there’ll be a ‘next 9/11’...probably soon. What the hell are all these folks going to say then? We need ANOTHER department?
Johnson, speaking to the wind.
Biden’s open border policy will not change, though he may rearrange the furniture a bit, but he’s beholden to the many NGOs and loons with money who want the border open for whatever reason.
“House Republicans will continue to fight tooth and nail for a return to law and order.”
That word, “continue”. I don’t think it means what he thinks it means.
Talk is cheap. Let’s see him and House back up this statement by doing something meaningful to close the borders.
Invade Mexico back.
Close the border and deport every last one off them.
WORDS. Condolences to families and friends of the innocent victims killed by INVADERS.
wait until it becomes evident that an awful lot of cash and US weaponry that supposedly went to the Ukies is actually in the border Mexican states
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me TOO!!!
no he is not all talk! He is doing ALL he CAN do...
Let’s see him and House back up this statement by doing something meaningful to close the borders.
Anything passed by the House regarding closing the border would be by the very slimmest of majority; the Senate would not agree and if something meaningful were to pass the Senate, FJB would veto it. So yelling loudly about yet another illegal killing a citizen is about all that can be done with the hopes that the memory of the murder will last until November.
But I expect the national press to drop the story.
Don’t you love how after denying any problem at the border, they blame Republicans. HR 2 had been lounging in the senate. And how many sanctuary cities are Democrat run vs Republican run?
We’ll see
I think I like Mike so far but Republicans? Fight? In any way? When?
Too bad the Republican House didn’t force Pedp Joe to close the border, when they took control of the House, last year.
