Let’s see him and House back up this statement by doing something meaningful to close the borders.

With the exception of proposing spending, what can the House alone do? Right now, they are ‘holding up vital aid to Ukraine to protect its border’ with the ‘silly’ idea of thinking to protect our own. /s

Anything passed by the House regarding closing the border would be by the very slimmest of majority; the Senate would not agree and if something meaningful were to pass the Senate, FJB would veto it. So yelling loudly about yet another illegal killing a citizen is about all that can be done with the hopes that the memory of the murder will last until November.

But I expect the national press to drop the story.
