Standard political practice would be a governor—of a decent size swing state if possible.
These days only two Democratic governors meet that criteria—PA and MI. MI has the “legend” of the phony baloney FBI planted attempted kidnapping. Democrats eat up those lies—and love the “brave woman” mythos.
CO would be just outside that window imho—but a possible compromise choice in a divided convention.
CA probably wants it—and might try to elbow his way into the job. He has the delegates to cause quite a bit of chaos on the convention floor.
Conclusion: Whitmer is the most likely choice. The Democrats wish she were black but they may have to “settle” this time.

The mass media adulation and the ridiculous amount of advertising will make “heroic” Whitmer seem like Joan of Arc to the gullible sheeple.
I see Whitmere as a possibility, but long shot.

Mike and Barry probably don’t even live together anymore after the chef/lover was offed and Mike doesn’t want to be just a puppet figurehead for 8 years while still relatively young and enjoying the high life in their various mansions.
Trump likes Ramaswamy, Trump’s daughter-in-law interviewed him a few nights ago on Rumble, and Don Jr did too on a different occasion. Don gave me an upvote when I said that I hope Vivek finds a place in Trump’s administration.
But of course, some of us would disregard that and refuse to vote for or even like anyone who is not Christian.
