Well, was it worth it?

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukrainian-president-zelenskiy-holding-talks-with-biden-adviser-says-2021-12-09/

Is Ukraine better off today because of this decision?

Is the average American better off because of this decision?

Simple question even if bizarre to you.

Wasn’t it Trump who left ballistic treaty, Minsk has nothing to do with NATO expansion, Tucker interview was horrible, and his grocery thing left out a ton of content

As to better off, ask putin about that

You are nuttier than I knew, you can’t focus on anything and now you are off and running into a whole new world of other rambling topics. Weird.

1. Minsk was an German/French effort at true peace. You’re not going to have that if outside forces keep pouring more and more military advisors, mercenaries, weapons and money into Ukraine, if we fuel some of the most radical fringes in that country. While we were no signator to this agreement, we were in violation of it, and it showed our true intentions. We created a powder keg.

2. It was under Bush W. That we withdrew from the Ballistic Missile Treaty: https://www.armscontrol.org/act/2002-07/news/us-withdraws-abm-treaty-global-response-muted.

That can actually somewhat be justified. Missile defense was tied to this. But nonetheless it plays a role today because we want to bring Ukraine into a military alliance.

3. Tuckers interview was the first time where the Russian perspective was presented post war begin. Even before the war, the Russian perspective was muted, censored (RT etc)... There are always two sides to a story, and in reality if you only hear one side, you should be asking yourself why that is?!?!?

4. Trump armed and financially backed Ukraine. All that was fine in so far that he was creating a cost for true Russian aggression. But when we pushed NATO under Biden, all that changed. At that point, Russia has the concern of NATO forces, nuclear, and missile defense systems being set up in Ukraine. Not something they will tolerate.

***But as to you not answering.***

The answer is obvious:

—Ukraine is worse off.

—In fact, we are worse off.

And as to providing a sound/viable national security argument for why we had to cause this war, you can’t do that either.

You’re world view was shaped a long time ago and it gives you comfort to stay within that paradigm just like we enjoy the music of our formative years.

But times change.

The Soviet Union is no more.

The Warsaw Pact is no more.

Russia is a semi capitalist economy with a few powerful oligarchs not unlike us. The Russian government share of the GDP is about the same as ours: https://www.imf.org/external/datamapper/exp@FPP/USA/FRA/JPN/GBR/SWE/ESP/ITA/ZAF/IND.

It’s not Russia that invaded Iraq under false pretences. It’s not Russia that invaded Syria, they were formal allies since 1970. It’s not Russia that attacked Libya in 2011. It’s not Russia that got caught red handed trying to overthrow the government in Venezuela in 2020. It’s not Russia building bases along our border and that lied about NATO East expansion. It’s not Russia that withdrew from the ballistic missile treaty, something which was a huge deal in your time. It’s not Russia that tries to violate Montreux. It’s not Russia that violated Minsk until after we did, grossly.

We are no longer the America of Ronald Reagan, may that be culturally, economically, our foreign policies, use of military force and the Intel services. Yes, we once were a force for good.

The line dividing us from good and evil has become blurred. We torture: enhanced interrogation. We kidnap: extra ordinary rendition. We assassinate and we lie, lie, lie. Today we mass censor, are in bed with oppressive regimes, use our justice department and Intel service to meddle im our own elections... What really sets us apart from those “evil Russians” today?

This is what’s really going on: you have the last remaining super power (albeit mainland China is an emerging power) butting heads with a “has been” power. They sit on a lot of real estate we would like, and of course we need to liberate it all in the name of democracy, peace, WMD, human rights and sovereignty. Purely coincidentally, all of these places we want to liberate have a HUGE economic value.

We sort of starting straying off course post Cold War. After 9-11 and as the true GWOT ended, we went total economic/political motivated, expeditionary, offensive.

For example Libya 1986: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1986_United_States_bombing_of_Libya#:~:text=The%20United%20States%20Air%20Force,on%20Libyan%20leader%20Muammar%20Gaddafi. They attacked us, so we bombed the crap out of them. Reagan was right.

But this is the sort of CRAP we do today: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_military_intervention_in_Libya. They didn’t attack us. They didn’t declare the Gulf of Libya as their national waters, they didn’t shoot missiles towards Italy... See a difference?

This is us today: https://youtu.be/UD4kFxyHALo?si=erRBhCj_h84dJNnI. He’s talking about invading our neighbor which poses ZERO danger to us, a NAFTA member state, because it’s politically beneficial for him. No different than Cesar taking Gaul and becoming a hero, he wants to advance his political career by invading another nation.

We have become a very different country post Cold War.

You are a man living in the past. Go to the VFW, put on one of those goofy caps, eat a steak, talk about the good ole times and play your favorite song: https://youtu.be/ox4IRQVGsBU?si=xJGiYlewa3MOXfgB Stay out of politics.

You left reality several posts ago and started churning out bizarre rambling nonsensical posts.

You don’t seem even to remember what the thread was about as you fly off into your ranting fantasy world.

Give it a rest, and get some sleep.

Marine veteran killed in Ukraine was ‘fearless,’ his commander says 12/01/2023

EXCERPTS:

Veteran Lance Cpl. Joel David Beal had been fighting for Ukraine with the volunteer group Chosen Company since February or March, company commander Ryan O’Leary told Marine Corps Times on Nov. 24.

While fighting in Pervomais’ke in Donetsk Oblast, Beal was hit by a mortar round after jumping out of his trench in an attempt to destroy a Russian infantry vehicle that was attacking his comrades, O’Leary said.

Marine Veteran Ethan Hertweck Died Helping Ukraine. Now, His Family Begins the Daunting Task of Bringing Him Home. 01/10/2024

EXCERPTS

Ethan Hertweck, 21, died in Ukraine on Dec. 8, according to his parents, nearly two weeks before he was scheduled to return home to Springfield, Missouri, after his second trip to volunteer in the country currently under brutal invasion by Russia since early 2022.

Hertweck initially left the U.S. just weeks after Russia invaded Ukraine, finding a calling for what his parents described as a lifelong desire to help those in need. The Marine veteran, who trained in Ukraine as a medic, joined a unit that ended up deep in the front lines, and Hertweck died during what would have been his last mission in the country.

What's amazing is that you think the Biden regime, Deep State, the Ukrainians and Brits are telling the truth about this war.

No, what's amazing is that you think the country supporting Hamas, Hillary Clinton, and BLM is telling the truth about anything.

It’s time for Ukraine to stop asking the American taxpayers for Billions to keep their corrupt Ukraine Govt. afloat, and for Ukraine to sue for Peace with Russia.

If the EU wants to fund, on their own, a proxy war with their neighbor Russia, then that’s their call.
