AAs a Black woman and working professional, I've never been a huge fan of affirmative action and the recent rise of critical theory, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives has only bolstered my resistance. While it may seem necessary to some in order to right the wrongs of the past, I can sum up why these measures are an unmitigated disaster for hard-working Black Americans in two words:
Fani Willis.
Willis is the prosecutor in one of the nation's major cities and most high profile cases against former President Donald Trump. Her position and the historic nature of the case she is prosecuting put her in an elite class most Black people will never even dream of reaching. One would expect such a person to be polished and classy, and able to remain so even while responding to an uncomfortable barrage of questions on the witness stand.
Instead, what we got was a defiant, childish, sour woman who spoke with the sophistication of teenage girl at her first college party.
It wasn't simply that she sounded angry—she also sounded stupid.
As I watched her testimony with my husband, an unspoken dread passed between us, weighted by a certain type of sadness. We understood instinctively that we were watching result of a diversity-first system that ends up elevating the weak while simultaneously besmirching the strong.
Willis is an elected official, but to even be in a position to run for one of the highest offices in her state means she has passed through elite job after elite job. She has received degrees, awards, and accolades.
How on earth, then, does such an "accomplished" woman sound like a freshman college student while participating in the trial of the century?

This whole episode has been beautiful. The more obviously corrupt, petulant, entitled and just downright embarrassing Dirty Fani is....for all to see.....the better.
she’s the kriss-kross of DAs
BTW, she’s so arrogant and stupid she admitting to a FELONY on the witness stand. She admitted to using campaign contributions to pay for personal expenses. Helloooo????? That’s a federal crime.
The real mystry is how Newsweek allowed this to be printed?
DEI: Demonic Expulsion + Intolerance of all who will not essentially salute the flag of Sodom, Abortion and Racist policies.
“I am the law”
SHE IS STUPID!
And this black woman professional needs to work on her writing skills. Or get a better editor.
“I have my own law firm” just SENT me!!!!!
Maybe she can get an Instagram gig going. The former Rachel Dolezal has shown that there is some kind of market for disgraced, 50-ish black females of notoriety to get naked for cash.
Uh...WADE is an Ugly Thug.
It WASN’T BACKWARD
Notice she doesn’t call for an end to Affirmative Action or mention it is racist to discriminate against Whites. Wasn’t willing to actually risk her paycheck.
“Ever zipped up a blouse for your wife? Stupid but women clothes are kinda stupid and expensive.”
Rear closures on women’s clothes are a relic from when folks had maids assisting them dressing.
It’s not for ease of access when the man hugs the woman.
A lot of those people didnt watch the testimony...
They just hear a black girl was set upon by whitey etc...
Wade is not the young Denzel
I would think ethics, respect for the law and the law profession would keep a large percentage of lawyers from even taking on a case such as this. That leaves a relatively small field with questionable motives to pick from - obviously. That includes this one, the one in New York, or the multiple others.
Watch her get away with and then Trump will have to pay her $1 billion ,LOL
Don’t stop at Fani Willis. The DEI jokes in NY - Alvin Bragg and Letitia James - are equally lawless, malicious and embarrassing. Any decent black professional should be ashamed of all three.
Thanks very much for the link. I watched it all.
Incredible? Actually Extremely Credible!
Sure exposes the Global Cabal that seeks to rule the world for benefit of the corporate/government dictatorship.
