Yeah, I was surprised, too. It felt really great here and I had the doors open. Yes, the house is cold now. We have the heater on and I have a bankie around my legs and feet. My fingers are cold. LOL!
I guess our Sunday is very close to yours and then up goes the mercury to spring for a few days.

Hey there, Kathy.
Yes, it looks like things are good here now. There’s FINALLY no color over our area on this week’s drought monitor map. WOOHOO!
You had a gorgeous day up there. A few clouds early in the morning, then none the rest of the day.
This morning was pretty cool with two DreamLifters at ANC at the same time, but only briefly. The first one came in from Japan, then took off for Charleston a few minutes after the second one came in FROM Charleston. That one left for Japan a couple of hours later. It isn’t often we get to see two cross paths at the airport. Fortunately a cam op showed up to zoom in on all the landings and take-offs.

They'd said today's high would be around 60 so it was a pleasant surprise to see it warmer. I didn't expect to get to open the window again - - 60's a little too cool for that.
Dang, it's a little cool in here but not enough for a blanket around my legs and to make my fingers cold. LOL I don't even have socks on. I did throw on a flannel shirt over the long-sleeve t-shirt though.
Spring's not too far off though. I noticed the first splashes of color here and there around the old house this afternoon. Some of the daffodils started blooming today.

Wow! Are they early or am I just wishing that heat wouldn’t come too soon?! LOL! So pretty and cheerful!
I do have tulips coming up but no blooms yet.

No, not early at all. Pretty much right on time. The leaves came up last month and I noticed little buds the other day.
There are several varieties planted around the yards and they bloom at different times. There’ll be daffodils blooming for the next couple of months.
The tulips haven’t started coming up yet but they will soon. Aunt Cara only planted a few in one spot and since I’m not real fond of them, I haven’t planted more.
I’m looking at the Breck’s web site right now, drooling over their beautiful daffies. Might order a few.

Daffodils are such cheerful little flowers. I had some really nice ones a few years ago, but with the lack of rain for 3 years in a row, the last time they bloomed, the blossoms were minuscule. Very sad little things.
You will have some to cheer you for quite a while. Have you re-planted some at the new house, or were they already there?
