Had he been visiting Pelosi? Or maybe the Clintons? Or what about the actress Meghan and her royal husband, Harry?

I hope it’s not the Nigerian banker who promised me that fortune from a share of smuggled Nigerian wealth.

Reading the report, it looks like they may have been in the area in order to attend tomorrow’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas. The crash site is not far from Las Vegas. With ticket prices as high as $81,000 each, only very well-paid execs could afford to attend the game. Kinda sorta adds up.

Reportedly the helicopter left Palm Springs Airport with 6 passengers, including the Nigerian Bank CEO, and was headed to Boulder City Nevada when it crashed. Super Bowl related.

A company I once worked for received a letter of credit drawn on a Nigerian bank. It was a beautiful document, parchment, fancy script, and a huge gold seal.

One problem. In the little section where there are two boxes showing "Irrevocable" and "Revocable", the latter was checked. In the decades of international trade experience of the people in that office, including banking hundreds of L/C's, that was the one and only one time anyone had ever seen a "revocable" letter of credit. I seem to recall the boss wanted it framed. It's more than possible companies have fallen for that scam. It was freaking bold, even for the Nigerians.
