Americans spend billions of dollars celebrating Valentine’s Day every year, but inflation is forcing many to rethink how they honor the holiday this year.
Nearly half— 46 percent — of Americans say inflation is impacting their Valentine’s Day plans, according to a new WalletHub survey.
Findings from the 200-person survey show that 24 percent of Americans don’t expect their significant others to spend any money on a gift this Valentine’s Day.
But those who think their Valentine will splurge on a gift do not think they will spend very much.
About 30 percent of Americans think their partner will spend between $1 and $49 this year on a gift, according to the survey.

And the other half had no plans.
Of course I do not blame Dear Leader for the fact that dinner for two at a Mexican restaurant has now become a $50+ evening when a few years ago it was $25-$30. A nice place (around here in the boondocks) is edging towards $80-$90—and no, I’m not talking table-cloth nice.
Less people dating. More men no longer simping or dealing with sh1t tests.
Headline is just asking for blue pill jokes.

More guys are taking it seriously when she says “really, you don’t have to get me anything....”?
No gifts either.
The cubs go to Grandma and Grandpa's house, we stay home, have a nice meal, sit in front of the fire, split a bottle of mead and.... none of your business.
