Hamas rejected the latest U.S.-negotiated hostage deal Tuesday, turning down a long pause in the fighting, the release of many dangerous terrorists, and other troubling terms that Israel was willing to swallow to free its people. The Hamas kidnappers say they will keep their 132 hostages—dead or alive—unless Israel ends the war entirely and guarantees Hamas control over Gaza. President Biden called Hamas’s reply “a little over the top,” perhaps forgetting that he’s dealing with jihadists, not Republicans. He called Hamas “the opposition” before he was corrected. Qatar tried to spin Hamas’s answer as a “positive response,” but it’s a repetition of the standard pattern in Israeli-Palestinian negotiations: Following Palestinian terror, the U.S. pressures Israel into risky concessions, only for the Palestinians to turn down the offer at their own people’s expense. Hamas says it wants a “comprehensive and complete cease-fire,” but it certainly doesn’t want peace. If there’s one point on which Hamas has been consistent, it is that it will repeat its Oct. 7 massacre “again and again,” as Politburo member Ghazi Hamad said on Oct. 24. The latest to beat that drum is senior Hamas official Ali Baraka, last seen explaining on Oct. 8 how Hamas had fooled the Israelis: “We made them think that Hamas was busy with governing Gaza, and that it wanted to focus on the 2.5 million Palestinians,” he said. On Jan. 30 Mr. Baraka, the head of Hamas National Relations Abroad, reiterated that Hamas’s plan and priority is to massacre more Jews.

From the river to the sea.
Gaza MUST be Hamas-free!
Drown the hostages.
As horrible as it is to say if Israel wants get rid of Hamas the hostages are the equivalent of sunk costs.
Without the hostages Hamas has no leverage.
We know that at least 32 of the hostages are already confirmed dead and given the Hamas negotiating position, it's likely that many of the rest are either already dead or can never be released because of what has been done to them.
There are reports that the IDF knows where much of the Hamas leadership is hiding but will not attack them because the hostages are being used as human shields.
It's crazy.
“As horrible as it is to say if Israel wants get rid of Hamas the hostages are the equivalent of sunk costs.”
This is true, God rest them.
But the upside is that now Israel can take the gloves off. Kill everyone and everything that so much as twitches resistance in Gaza. There will never be peace with them until Gaza is completely subdued and annexed to Israel permanently.

Just like western 2 state “solution “ is not the answer because one side does not want two states. Let you guess which side that is.
Leaving humus in charge, even if hostages are released just means more hostages and violence down the road.
WTS, humus is not really the issue, the ideology of death to Jews, river to the sea is not limited to one “organization “
Israel needs to take all the territories of Gaza and west bank under their control.
And frankly until Iran is properly dealt with, even that control will not solve much
They’re doing a pretty good job of it right now.
Suck it up; consider the hostages dead. They may already be dead anyway. Continue to sterilize Gaza. Hunt down the Hamas leaders who flee abroad. This is only form of defeat Islam recognizes.

ham ass wants permanent war.
Give it to them until there are none left.
“Kill everyone and everything that so much as twitches resistance in Gaza.”
Can’t be repeated enough.
Here is my solution: In a strongly worded letter, Israel should inform Hamas that they should “LET MY PEOPLE GO!” If they don’t, there will be a series of catastrophies that consume the Gazans, Palestinians, and Iranians, each more severe than the previous one. On the tenth catastrophe, then Hamas leadership will turn themselves in to Israel to face trial, and Iran will begin compensation, or all the Iranian entities will be utterly destroyed. It is a GOOD PLAN, and has worked in the past. LET MY PEOPLE GO!
>Without the hostages Hamas has no leverage.<
That’s why it’s a safe assumption to say the hostages are already dead or Hamas would have accepted the deal.
The only leverage left is to bluff that the hostages are still alive to buy time and hope.
EC
Bibi should ask Ham ass to provide video of all the hostages to determine if they are alive before any type of negotiations continue.
What evidence is available that the hostages are alive?
Schrödinger's hostage?
