Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has revealed on Tuesday why Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to be interviewed by the former Fox host.
Tucker Carlson maintains a position that differs from that of other Western journalists, according to Peskov. “His stance is by no means pro-Russian and it is not pro-Ukrainian – rather, it is pro-American,” the spokesman said. “But at least it differs from the stance of all these traditional Anglo-Saxon media.”
While Peskov did confirm that Carlson interviewed Putin during a personal meeting on Tuesday, he refrained from providing any further details about the interview. “After all, it was his [Carlson’s] interview, so let him share all the details when he is ready to publish it,” Peskov remarked.
He also declined to disclose the details about any safety and security measures that might have been taken during the meeting between Putin and Carlson.
Meanwhile, several Western journalists have lamented the fact that Putin only agreed to be interviewed by Tucker Carlson.
“We’ve lodged several requests with the Kremlin in the last 18 months. Always a ‘no’ for us,” BBC’s Steve Rosenberg wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), disputing Carlson’s previous claim that “no Western journalist has bothered to interview" the Russian leader. CNN’s Christiane Amanpour also claimed that her network sought an interview with Putin since the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict in February 2022.

Two things; first, I don’t care and second, I don’t believe you. Supply a link or go away.
True - but it is expressed by the imperialism.
Have you simply ignored Putin’s statements and actions since he first took power in Russia? He allowed someone to step in that office for a single term (as a puppet), then rewrote the Constitution to allow him to never have a limit to his time in office, and has since bent the laws to essentially prevent any opposition in his perpetual reelection...
And his statements and actions have been 100% consistent with reestablishing the USSR - between he solidification of power, to his crackdowns and retaking of neighboring nations that had split away from the Russian Federation...
And now, in his defense of his actions to Tucker Carlson - he lays out 20 minutes of so-called Russian history as a reason to take back territory that he himself repeatedly affirmed were Ukrainian via treaties and agreements - Areas that were not historically “Russian” in their core ethnic make-up (even with the USSR’s forced relocations).
Who GAF?
“So then why doesn’t Putin get rid of those 10,000 nuclear missiles aimed at the US?”
Because China.
L
It’s not like the US doesn’t have much of Russia (and China) targeted by its missiles. Plus many others to other countries just for good Armageddon measure.
Here’s a good question from the “Way Back” machine. In the early days of nuclear weapons (late 40s early 50s) which country was the first to ‘target’ or plan to hit another?
Useless, meaningless comment. Who cares? Putin is not President of the USA. Does Putin have military bases on the Mexican border? Or even the German border? I am also willing to bet you have little understanding of Government in Russia.
The logical upshot of your comment? Declare Russia an enemy until they make their country "more democratic" - whatever DC marxists and the MSM declare it is?
Most importantly,, you have ZERO control over the situation, and Putin has organized and aligned his nation so that Uncle Sam has ZERO control who runs Russia. In fact, Putin and others have aligned themselves such that the more the DC Marxists rage, the more it over-extends itself
So, we can deal with reality, and deal with the world as it is, for the benefit of the American people, pick-and-choose the battles we fight, OR - we can continue to engage in silly slogans and propaganda, stomp our feet and declare "Putin is a dictator!!" and destroy and bankrupt ourselves in the process for the benefit of a few in Washington DC
You choose the latter.
Seriously?
So the US is sending $billions to Ukraine in weapons and other aid against Putin (regardless of one’s views on that) - so Putin and his agenda are “useless and meaningless”? Who cares? considering his agenda will eventually impact us, regardless of Ukraine...
I am not a fan of the “endless wars” doctrine the US seems to have been involved with for over a century. Further - I am not a supporter of the vast and evil covert “wars” in an effort to “transform” nations (color revolutions being an example). But to be so utterly removed from the geopolitical happenings that do have consequences sooner or later is to set yourself up to be in a heap of hurt.
And no amount of logical fallacy mental hoops you jump through trying to reframe my replies as something they are not, will change the validity of my comments.
