MOSCOW, February 2-RIA Novosti. Great Britain has invited NATO allies to consider sending an expeditionary force of the alliance to Ukraine, an informed source told RIA Novosti.

"In connection with the unfavorable developments for Kiev in the Ukrainian theater of military operations, Britain invited NATO allies to consider sending an expeditionary force of the alliance to Ukraine, as well as establishing a no-fly zone over the territory controlled by the Kiev authorities, and increasing the supply of weapons and equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces", said the agency's interlocutor.

At the same time, according to him, London understands that the majority of member countries of the bloc are now unlikely to support such measures...

Hitler’s blunder was declaring war on us right after Pearl Harbor. America came out of that day united and pissed off. He thought he could take on the US and the Soviet Union at the same rime, and he paid for it.

Not only was Hitler now fighting two countries the size of continents but he was also fighting the British Empire, which had a population of about three quarters of a billion people.

Is that referring to the statement from 2022?:

Joint statement by Defence Ministers of the Joint Expeditionary Force

To do so does not obligate the US under Article 5 if it is used in an offensive manner.

Interesting statement but in this case the countries eager to fight might be Sweden, Finland (now in NATO), Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania along with Poland and the Czech Republic.

The US would have stepped up supplies to Britain since Britain also declared war on Japan. Would have only been a matter of time before a U-Boat sank another US ship, giving us the Casus Belli to declare war on Germany.

No, that’s ill advised. The moment European forces join
the conflict, there will be declarations of war and it
goes exponential from there.

I wish Trump could consult with Putin now, before this gets
further out of hand.

I accept your premise that war was inevitable for the U.S. Nevertheless, Hitler blundered needlessly and should have bided his time. The little punk was already getting his butt kicked in Russia with the failure of Operation Barbarossa. The declaration of war was just one of his colossal blunders.

That’s all that it appears to be to me. And unless there is something going on that they won’t explain to us, it’s all about money, nothing more.

If this is real, it has been leaked by a NATO country that does not want to get involved in a shooting war in Ukraine - which is basically all of them except the USA and UK. (the ones furthest away from the battlefield... hmm...)

Since its creation, RIA is state run news. It is literally a extension of the Russian government. As bad as the CNN, NYT and most of the western press is, the Russian press is always worse.

Read the translation. Its sources go back to other RIA articles, claiming Poland, Romania, Moldova are going to get the fight. Russia state news likes to run stories claim those three countries want to divide up Ukraine.

The is more of the usual Russian state narrative to create hatred toward the west, and toward Poland, Romania, and Moldova specifically.

“I wish Trump could consult with Putin now, before this gets

This UK situation reminds me of “US advisors” sent to Vietnam in 1961. :-/

But Trump could send a person relatively isolated from his campaign. Maybe a well-known actor insulated by relative fame? A sports figure, or noted filmmaker, Dinesh D’Souza? Riley Gaines? Candace Owens? Ginni Thomas? Thomas Sowell? Victor Davis Hanson? Mark Steyn?

Russia hasn’t attacked NATO so they must send troop to provoke Putin to act. WW III is weeks away.

Hitler’s blunder was declaring war on us right after Pearl Harbor.

Hitler did so because he thought the Japanese would reciprocate by declaring war on the Soviets and attacking Siberia.

Instead, the Japanese said their alliance was only if one of them was attacked. And since the USSR did not attack Germany, Japan was not obligated to intervene.

Didn’t the UK put weapons on a US passenger ship that got it sunk by the Germans in an effort to get the US involved in WW1? The truth is the haven’t changed since then. Let the Brits fight own war in Ukraine.
