A SHADOW LOOMS over the world. In this week’s edition we publish The World Ahead 2024, our 38th annual predictive guide to the coming year, and in all that time no single person has ever eclipsed our analysis as much as Donald Trump eclipses 2024. That a Trump victory next November is a coin-toss probability is beginning to sink in.
Mr Trump dominates the Republican primary. Several polls have him ahead of President Joe Biden in swing states. In one, for the New York Times, 59% of voters trusted him on the economy, compared with just 37% for Mr Biden. In the primaries, at least, civil lawsuits and criminal prosecutions have only strengthened Mr Trump. For decades Democrats have relied on support among black and Hispanic voters, but a meaningful number are abandoning the party. In the next 12 months a stumble by either candidate could determine the race—and thus upend the world.

Headline Correction
Congratulations, Mr. President... you’ve passed up “Global Climate Change” as the biggest threat to the planet!
That's right...They call Trump a Nazi, racist, dangerous etc...Using these terms daily....But they never explain why.
Ya danger peace and prosperity twin evils in dem minds
BULLZ EYE!!!
Someone help me, I just can’t keep track of the number of foreign wars we are involved in during the last year of the Biden regime.
And yet Biden’s fellow travelers and useful idiots are saying Trump is the dangerous one?
Cause he starts so many wars? BS.
“ Donald Trump poses the biggest danger to the world in 2024”
That is my fond hope and fervent belief. By “The World” this scumbag means the world this parasite and the WEF types have been crafting since the Wilson administration. I hope DJT does destroy it.
I wonder what side the Economist is on?
And THAT is precisely why we MUST re-elect DJT!
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN AGAIN
Exactly right, which is why they’re beating this drum.
Anyone with half a brain knows by now Biden is the danger. But, they keep projecting to the sheeple. They know if they can get them to vote for Biden because Taylor Swift does, they can scare them away from Trump with such drivel.
If one doesn't believe in freedom.
Didn’t the Economist used to be about economies?
Hasn’t the schtick about Trump being a danger to the world…reached peak stupid yet?
Donald Trump is in fact dangerous, but not for us, or the West.
He is dangerous for the enemies of the West and the enemies of America. And that’s a good thing.
The Neo-Soviet nutcases who have hijacked the Russian Government, the Communists in China, the Islamists in Iran and their allies Hamas and Hezbollah have all felt the wrath of Trump one way or the other:
Indeed, Trump was a proactive interventionist during his presidency:
He sent 59 Tomahawk missiles against a massive Russia/Syrian base.
In 2018, Trump eradicated about 300 Russian troops during a 4 hour long battle in Syria.
He assassinated Iranian leaders.
He imposed massive sanctions on Russia.
He expelled 60 Russian diplomats.
He partly destroyed ISIS (together with European allies)
He reversed Obama’s non-interference policies in Ukraine, and sent Ukraine shiploads of high-tech weaponry which obliterated Russia’s army during the first days of Kremlins invasion of Ukraine.
There are 30 other things he did against Russia.
No other President in America’s history (except maybe for Ronald Reagan) has had such strong anti-Russian polices.
So yes, Trump is dangerous for the enemies of America...
Apparently Putin is off the hook as the world’s greatest danger.
Ditto the ChiCom Nork and Iranian leaders…oh, and Israel which is being blamed for everything wrong in the world since 3000 BCE
The Economist magazine hasn’t been center/right for decades. But do carry on with your “globalist” fantasies if it floats your boat.
The reason Demonrats hate PDJT so much is because opposites attract.
I subscribed for a year in the 1990s, and it smelled squishy-left back then ... hence only 1 year subscription.
Strange Days......
