CASSIDY, HAGERTY, COLLEAGUES INTRODUCE LEGISLATION TO END COUNTING OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN DETERMINING ELECTORAL COLLEGE VOTES AND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT APPORTIONMENT

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Bill Hagerty (R-TN), and his Republican colleagues introduced the Equal Representation Act, legislation to ensure that only legal citizens are factored into the count for Congressional districts and the Electoral College map that determines presidential elections. The current method of counting illegal immigrants for purposes of representation serves as a perverse incentive for open borders to boost the relative political power of the states and voters that court it.

The legislation comes after video revealed a Democrat Congresswoman openly calling for more illegal immigration to her New York congressional district because she “needs more people in her district for redistricting purposes.”

“It is unconscionable that illegal immigrants and non-citizens are counted toward Congressional district apportionment and our electoral map,” said Senator Hagerty. “While people continue to flee Democrat-run cities, desperate Democrats are back-filling the mass exodus with illegal immigrants so that they do not lose their seats in Congress and maintain electoral votes for the Presidency and hence artificially boost their political power, which in turn dilutes the power of other Americans’ votes. I’m pleased to introduce this legislation that would require a citizenship question on the census and will ensure that only citizens are counted in Congressional redistricting.” …

Let’s say the Senate, House, and President go GOP in November. Can this law pass the Senate with a majority, or will they need 61 votes?

(Could be Game, Set, Match for end of Republic)

If the Rs sweep both houses. This should be a Constitutional ammendment.

As well as doing away with anchor baby citizenship.

...to ensure that only legal citizens are factored into the count for Congressional districts and the Electoral College...

And how do they propose determining legal citizenship? Perhaps...and I'm just spitballin' here...a photo ID?

It’s about time! But I see two problems. First, getting it passed with the makeup of Congress. Second, it will depend on how SCOTUS defines “counting the whole number of persons in each State” from the 14th Amendment, Section 2. I think the only way to accomplish the objective is by Amendment and the states losing voters, e.g. Cali, would not ratify.

Save the “all caps” for when the legislation is passed.

Sanctuary states and cities plus unchecked immigration equals more democrat seats in the house no matter how the newcomers vote.
Blue states just getting bluer.

The Senators know it won’t go through but that misses the point.

When Democrats shoot it down that shows the public Democrats are pro-invasion.

Same with Texas. If the mummified meat puppet nationalizes the Texas National Guard in an election year then he can’t claim to have the border under control.

If you hate your fellow citizens, want absolute power and have no ethics, it is a very smart strategy.

This is pointless IMHO. It would require a Constitutional Amendment. Art. I, Sec. 2 Clause 3 reads Congressional seats are apportioned by ‘number of free persons’, not citizens. living in a state. An amendment requires 2/3rds of each house to approve before it is sent to the states for ratification.

You added “living in a state.” That is not in that clause. Are tourists free people? Should they be included?

Thank you for referencing that article 11th_VA. Please note that the following critique is directed at Republican lawmakers and not at you.

"... to ensure that only legal citizens are factored into the count for Congressional districts and the Electoral College map that determines presidential elections [??? emphasis added]."

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

First, the bottom line...

Consider that political party and media fuss about "obsolete" electoral college is because the electoral college is the only thing stopping the corrupt political parties from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.

Getting back to presidential election safeguards, you're being played again in another presidential election year patriots.

On a seemingly unrelated issue, note that the states surrendered their power to make state winner-take-all laws when they ratified the Constitution, basically establishing an unbroken chain of custody between constitutionally proper electors and President of Senate, no option for state winner-take all laws imo.

In fact, Justice Joseph Story had explained the obvious when political parties divide a state's electoral votes, that doing so reduces the maximum number of votes that any candidate can get from such a state, comparable to when a state's federal senators vote yes and no on a given vote, effectively nullifying each other's votes.

"In case of any party divisions in a state, it may neutralize its whole vote [emphasis added], while all the other states give an unbroken electoral vote." —Justice Joseph Story, Article 2, Section 1, Clauses 2 and 3, Commentaries on the Constitution 3, 1833.

Getting back to so-called presidential election safeguards, the bottom line is that the precautions to insure electoral vote integrity that Republican lawmakers are now hoping to secure by introducing the Equal Representation Act are going to be wiped out when most states unconstitutionally award their electoral votes to one political party candidate imo.

Again, consider that corrupt political party and media fuss about "obsolete" electoral college is because the electoral college is the only thing stopping the corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties that have pirated control of state and federal governments from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.
