Some of these missile’s have gotten through to hit Container ships and they are still floating and under power. So I’m not sure if the payload they have is enough to destroy a US Ship.

Hitting them with a MOAB or three would not be expanding the skirmish - hitting the source would and a repeat of Operation Praying Mantis which destroyed/obliterated their navy would be in order.

The Muzzies killed 241 US Marines, sailors and soldiers in 1983. I do not remember Pres. Reagan exacting any horrific vengeance on the perpetrators. Ronald Reagan was the second finest POTUS of my lifetime,, ( Ike is first), but he had his failures. So I don’t expect a non sentient zombie in aviator glasses to do something Reagan didn’t.
I think Reagan realized that his mistake was getting involved in Lebanon in the first place.
