On the one hand, a child who is so miserable that he/she wants to distance him/herself from who they are by claiming that they identify as the other gender may be suffering abuse or neglect that would justify taking the child away from the parent.
On the other hand, subjecting a child to “gender-affirmation” hormonal treatments and surgery is a form of child abuse. Yeah, it’s so much more profitable than trying to get to the root of the child’s mental issues.

The Maine Judiciary Committee faced intense scrutiny today as it postponed a Work Session on a controversial bill that would block cops from reuniting children from out-of-state with their parents if they had been brought to Maine to receive sex change drugs or surgeries.
LD 1735, titled “An Act to Safeguard Gender-affirming Health Care,” was introduced by Rep. Laurie Osher (D-Orono).
Osher told the Maine Wire last year she was inspired to introduce the bill after talking with transgender activists who had gotten a similar measure passed in California.
This absolutely jerks my chain. I have a son who was very small for his age, at every stage of his life, from womb to his teens. I have no doubt that were he in grade school now, they would have targeted him as being a girl, instead of being a boy with a growth hormone deficiency. Once that was corrected, he became very much on the normal growth curve charts. Thank God his endocrinologist was a good man, and not some woke doctor.

Why is it only DEMOCRATS that are doing this?
Why do they want to mutilate perfectly healthy children?
Why do they want to sterilize perfectly healthy children?
What is their end game?
It is permanent and irreversible. These children will grow up unable to procreate they way God intended.

A decision by a 13 year old or even younger adolescent, made on the spur of the moment will radically alter that child’s life forever.
But in the end, they will still be XX or XY no matter how many surgeries they have, and their reproductive systems will be non existent..............

Because of my personal experience with my son, I am furious with the doctors. My son, whose body produced growth hormone but didn’t utilize it, and the same for testosterone, he needed both in order to develop correctly.
I have always wondered why they are introducing cross-sex hormones instead of same sex hormones as my son was given. What is wrong with trying that first? Wouldn’t that be closer to “do no harm”?
What they do now is, like you said, almost always irreversible. It really really bothers me.
These doctors and medical providers should be introduced to a firing squad.
